Mouth part of carts removal?

How do you guys remove the hard, white plastic part of the cart for refills? I try to use a metal file and a paper clip. Everything works and fits in the hole easily enough. However, I find the plastic getting badly damaged and in one case i actually popped off only the top half of the white plastic leaving the sides inside the case. Is there a way to get in a rubber mouthpiece or something different?

I use a pick tool like I showed in my video. It has a screwdriver handle and a sharp pointy end. My end caps get a little mangled sometimes, but I don't worry about it too much.

I popped the metal "handle" off a binder clip and bent it. It is made of a stiff metal and works awsome. I read that on a post somewhere on here and it works!

I started off with a paper clip, then part of a binder clip and now I'm using a small knitting needle (8/1.50MM) I got from Walmart. I haven't tried anything else.

Ok, I tried the pick and paper clip method and honestly they were a pain the ..., I thought about it for hours and then while I was reparing the door jam to my front door it came to me.

The thickness of the top cap was about as wide as the threads on the wood screws I was using, so I twisted the 9x2-1/2 exterior gard screw into the cap and gently pulled it right out with a little wiggle.

WOW that was so much quicker and simpler than the other ways stated, I have my little trick and maybe it will be used by some.

Oh Steve you ROCK, I have a review in the works and as soon as I get a sec I'll complete it.

48 hours now and yes I was tempted to light up one of the last three Boros sitting in a pack right next to my bed, but guess what they are all there and now I'm sure that they will go stale or bummed away. LOL Thanks again!

I use a dental pick and pry from the rubber inside so i do 0 damage to the mouth piece.

No prying, just twist in and pull. Just don't pull too fast or the top seperates from the rest. I messed up one time, but now it is so simple.
