I don't know the answer to that, but it's happened to me with other clearomizers. I usually take everything apart, use a tissue to get all the juice out, reassemble carefully, and be sure everything is tightened up well. Once in a while I've put in a new head, and that does the trick if nothing else works. Sometimes I've just had to ditch the clearomizer if it keeps doing it. I think maybe sometimes they just aren't manufactured very well.
Its a learning curve with all of these things. Ive not used anything yet that doesnt have some sort of leak....until you figure it out, and they mare all just a bit different.

Overfilling, and/or getting niquids down into the air tube is the main culprit when it comes to getting niquid into your mouth. Remove the clearo from the battery and while you have it held over a tissue or paper towel gently but firmly blow thru the mouthpiece for several seconds. After removing the excess liquid from the clearo tube, remove the niquid drips from the battery connection by twisting a bit of tissue or paper towel around and around in the battery top.

I always keep pipe cleaners handy to run down the air tube for excess juice. Buy good ones. Cheap ones shed.
I have an iclear 30. Mine did it last night, so I unscrewed to drop tip and cleaned it in the sink and ran some paper towel through it and made sure the juice wasn't filled past the max line and all was well. Then later in the night it died after 4 weeks of straight use because the coil was so junked because I dedicated FBJ apple jacked to it. Took the thig apart and looked at the coil and wick and that is clearly what happened. Debating about getting some wicks and coils for it or just shelving it for now since I have a few other tanks laying around that use evod coils.
Well, the whole reason the coils are replaceable is because they cannot last forever. Don't waste money buying different, only to find out the rules are the same.
Buy your replacement heads.
Rotate heads every 2 tanks.
Soak removed head in Vodka/PGA for a few hours and let dry over night
Place back in rotation.
ALL WICK/COIL setups wear out. How long they last is determined be your use and abuse.
I wondered about that, laying my ego flat on the table. Maybe I need to start putting it in a pencil holder instead.
I really like the 30. It works well for me once i learned the idios, every tank seems to have them. It's therapeutic rolling it in my hand at a 45 watching the wicks juice back up between vapes. Like watching a lava lamp.
Give that head a rinse and dry burn and another rinse and let it dry and you should be back in business.

Just today, I took a T3 BCC head that was Caked Black - Coil not visible under crusting e-liquid. I tossed the Flavor wicks as I have extra 1mm silica.
I then started the Pulsing action to burn off(carbonize) the crusted e-liquid.
Pulse on for 3-5 seconds
Rest for 5 seconds
Repeat
Repeat
Repeat
Caution not to over heat surrounding area
Blow off Dried Flaking Carbon.
Start Pulse cycle again
Repeat
After several cycles, what you will see is a nice almost fully White Wick and clean coil.
I lightly brush over the coil with a tooth pick(NOT PICK - BRUSH!) to loosen stuck carbon. and blow off.
The T3 coil I started on is like Brand new and it took all of 4-5 minutes from Briquet to New.
