Hey, just like that, it's already Friday again! Ready to quiz?

How many of the films below you can name?

I'm going to drop a hint right up front, mostly because it's valueless: The name of the movie in #7 is right there, in gold lettering above the tuning knob on the TV. The problem is, even if you zoom in and sharpen it, the logo still just looks like a gold blob.

:p

Good luck, guys! :D

As usual, I'll post the answers Sunday morning.

Hints and bump time...

#5: As a prank, a micro transceiver is covertly installed in the braces of the guy on the left. Then, the perpetrators use it to convince the guy that God is talking to him.
#1: Despite being a cold-blooded henchman in the Russian mafia, the character pictured has definite moral boundaries.
#3: That's Mordred in the gold armor, and a bunch of dead knights hanging from the tree behind him.

Whoo Hooo, I know 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 this week.
Nice!

 Well Caff, you KNOW I know #4...I think we discussed it...
Yeah, you said that you didn't see the entirety of #4, but the character is pretty recognizable regardless. :)

...blanking on 8, but I've seen it. not sure about 2 and 5.
I won't be surprised if nobody gets #8.

Giving this a bump to the top so more peeps can try to figure these out!

Hey, 2 great minds! I guess the forum is slow tonight Caff! Your post wasn't there when I posted!

Number 8 looks familiar, but I can't remember why...
so does 6.

5 is a great "popcorn" movie isn't it?

I thought 1 would be the toughest for people to get. When I went to this, I was literally the ONLY person the the theater. I bought a beer and a slice from feeling guilty about making the theater give me a private screening. Memorable film with good acting. It sticks with you like everything from that director.
I just read that a sequel is in the works! :)

I've seen a movie under similar circumstances only once in my life. I went to see This Is Spinal Tap with a friend, both of us thinking that the movie's concept was just brilliant. It was a Friday night, one week after the movie's release, and the two of us were literally the only people in the theater! It's weird to hear your laughter echoing off the walls of an otherwise empty movie theater!

And I agree about the director of #1; even his sub-par movies have a way of sticking with you. :D

Very cool! The way #1 ended, it definitely seemed like they were purposely leaving open the opportunity to continue the story.

Number 3 has Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson in small roles :)
Along with at least two other very recognizable, award-winning actors.

Thank you Caff! I have not seen several of those movies, so I think I need to get crackin' on my movie watching. I swear I've seen Delicatessen - but perhaps just parts of it - it might have been on cable a long time ago...
I haven't seen Eastern Promises, and I love Viggo!

Even if I don't know all the movies on the quizzes, at least my que list is growing!
Thanks again! Techno
