Happy Friday, guys!

I've got another themed quiz for you this week: Movies Prominently Featuring Food. Pretty self-explanatory, eh?

There are eight screenshots below. Most of them should be fairly recognizable if you've seen the films. So, which of these movies can you identify?

Please answer with movie numbers only, not titles..

Good luck!

OMG, I didn't think anyone else had ever even heard of # 8 ! I saw that movie years ago, on Elvira's movie's - and have never seen it again. Other than that, I only know 1 2 & 4.
I actually paid to see #8 in a theater when it came out. I saw it with a bunch of friends when we were all a little too young to legitimately be admitted to R-rated movies. The local theater we'd always go to was pretty nonchalant about enforcing admission policies though, so we usually got to see whatever movies we wanted to there. :D

OK, time for a few hints:

#1: The movie's signature line, with its patented Charlton Heston delivery: "_______ _____ is people!!"

#3: The title characters, seated in front, are on a journey seeking a particular brand of greasy deliciousness. The movie chronicles their adventures along the way.

#5: Speaking of greasy deliciousness, apparently--and not surprisingly--you wouldn't want to have to eat three meals of it a day for 30 days!

#7: Two brothers, played by Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci, have conflicting opinions about how to operate their failing Italian restaurant. They are given an opportunity to host dinner for a famous client and his entourage, and possibly save their business.

(As an aside, I think anybody who enjoys character and dialogue-driven films really needs to see movie #7.)

Hope these help! :)

    in a cave, eh?
More hints if you need 'em:

    1. Charlton Heston is looking at a food production line in this movie about a dystopian future where an overpopulated earth is suffering from pollution, global warming, poverty, dying oceans and limited food rations. The oceans are pretty much mined out of plankton to process, so a new source for food is needed. Charlton's pal Edward G. Robinson just got recycled into that system.
    2. A romantic comedy that pairs a middle-aged widowed Cher, now living with her Italian-American parents, with Nicholas Cage, the younger brother of her boyfriend. The younger brother lost his hand in a bakery accident which caused some bad blood between the brothers.
    3. John Cho and Kal Penn have a major case of the munchies and are trying to get to White Castle. Neil Patrick Harris, playing a fictionalized version of himself, is the hitchhiker.
    4. The movie takes place in a run-down apartment building in post-apocalyptic France. Food is in short supply which the landlord takes care of by luring victims in with the promise of handyman work in the want ads and then butchering them for meat to sell to his tenants. There are lots of oddball characters like the young kids trying to destroy everything; the suicidal woman who thinks the voices coming from the pipes are in her head; the man who flooded his apartment to raise snails and frogs for food; and the vegetarian underground resistance movement known as the "troglodistes".
    5. A Morgan Spurlock documentary exploring the nutritional value of fast food as demonstrated by eating nothing but meals from the golden arches, 3 meals a day, for 30 days. He upsized his meals several times during that period when the employees prompted him. The results aren't pretty.
    6. Two Italian immigrant brothers own and run a failing restaurant called "Paradise". A competitor helps them by inviting Louis Prima over to their restaurant to spark their business. The brothers must put a lot of money, promotion and effort into a big feast for the occasion.
    7. A Pixar film about a Parisian rat who aspires to become a cook in Gusteau's restaurant by controlling the lowly garbage boy.
    8. A neon sign identifying the "Motel Hello" by the farm has a flickery "O". The victims planted in the garden are being fed and prepped for sale at Farmer Vincent's roadside stand. His motto is: It takes all kinds of critters ... to make Farmer Vincent's fritters.
