Is everybody ready for another movie quiz? Well, ready or not, it's getting posted! .

FYI: Movie #8 is represented by a less-than-iconic screenshot, and most folks would probably consider movie #1 fairly obscure.

Anyway, without any further ado, here's Movie Quiz #91.

*****

The thread will run its course for a week or so, and I'll bump it with hints and whatnot as needed. Answers will be posted when the time feels right.

There are eight screenshots below. Most of them should be fairly recognizable if you've seen the films. So, which of these movies can you identify?

Please answer with movie numbers only, not titles..

Hints ahoy!

#1: The idea for this movie was inspired by a classified ad that appeared in the back of a magazine in 1997. The ad read, in part: "WANTED: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke... Must bring your own weapons... I have only done this once before." The title of this movie is one of the lines in that classified ad.

#2: ♫...is the time, is the place, is the motion. ______ is the way we are feeling...

#3: Left to right in the screenshot we see Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, and James Franco. The yellowish glow that's terrifying them is a flaming bed, upon which they've restrained a demon-possessed Jonah Hill.

#4: This 1951 classic has been almost universally lauded as one of the greatest American films of all time. It was also the vehicle for a veritable acting tour de force, garnering Oscar awards for three of the four main characters, and a nomination for the fourth. That's Vivien Leigh as Blanche DuBois, and Marlon Brando as Stanley Kowalski, in the screenshot.

Hope these helped!

How about another round of hints?

#5: Chris, Gordie. Teddy, and Vern, (played by River Phoenix, Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connell respectively), are a group of 12 year-olds who have set out on an day-long journey to see the dead body of a missing boy.

#6: This movie tells the futuristic tale of Chief John Anderton, head of the specialized police division known as "Precrime." The job of the Precrime unit is to apprehend criminals based on foreknowledge provided by three psychics called "pre-cogs". The screenshot shows Chief Anderton, played by Tom Cruise, operating the Precrime computer interface.

#7: This 1974 comedy stars Burt Reynolds as the recently-incarcerated, former pro quarterback Paul Crewe. In the movie, he puts together a football team of fellow prisoners to take on the highly talented team of prison guards. Adam Sandler played the role of Paul Crewe in a 2005 remake.

#8: Clint Eastwood directed this movie, which was based on a Dennis Lehane novel by the same name. Three kids write the names in the cement near the very beginning of the film, but most of the story takes place in their adult lives. Grown up Jimmy is played by Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon is adult Sean, and Tim Robbins plays Dave, (the kid's name actively being written at the bottom). Dave never gets to finish, though, and therein lies the impetus for the story...
