I have been vaping for almost 3 years now and have run through the typical collection of e-cigs over the years - DSE-901, 510, Tornado, Mega Tornado, tank etc.

I have been falling back to my TW Tornado because it tends to be the most comfortable, a decent battery life etc. What I don't like right about it the general expense of batteries. While they do last a while - I sort of cringe when I see a shopping cart $70 for 3 batteries after shipping. This got me thinking that here has to be a better way which led me to the mods page:

Battery Tube e-Cig Mods | e-Cigarette Mods Database

Question 1) It seems to me that I can get batteries twice...three times... four times the 600mAh batts I am using with my Tornado for a fraction of the over all cost. Not only will they last longer, they are cheaper too!

Question 2) If I am going to get a new MOD kit, what is the conventional wisdom for LR atty's versus standard? I see 510 LR atty's all the time but I always end up getting a 5-pack standard 510's. Is there any particular reason to get a 510 versus 901 atty kit? Or either of those with LR?

I am due and I am thinking for the price of 3 batts I can get a new mod kit that would come with at least 1 battery..they all look awesome to me but I have never seen a mod little lone a 5v mod in action.

Thanks!

Benjamin

I don't see may 5V mods coming with batteries.
You may try http://redskymods & if you are handy you can buy one of their DIY kits & finish the wood off yourself.

If i'm not mistaken the 510 gets hotter & produces more vape than the 901. I use 510 LR on my Reo when i'm feeling frisky...they just get so hot!

Really, you've been vaping a long time and you seem to be pretty satisfied. I'm not hearing you want more of anything except cheaper batteries. Take a look at the e-power on madvapes. It's similar to an eGo (tornado = eGo) but, uses generic batteries. Buy a couple extra batteries and a switch and you should be good for some time.
