Hi all. Need a bit of advice please. I am moving to Hurghada in April and even though I know there are vaping shops there and online, I prefer to take my own as apart from being much cheaper to buy in the UK, I like the flavour I have been vaping for 7 years.
Can anyone tell/advise the regulations on taking copious amounts of e liquid (like 300 bottles) through customs in my suitcase.
I normally go for 3 months at a time for the past 4 years and have never had any problems taking 40-50 bottles in my case but this time I do not want to look like I am taking it to sell, it will be for personal use only.
I saw messages to bigdaddy on this site about vaping in Egypt so thought I would sign up to se if he or anyone could help. Thanks in advance

Welcome and glad you joined.
1. Suggest you first contact the airlines if traveling by plane and inquire.
2. Suggest you contact Egyptian embassy and get written approval and or printed vape/liquid policy if possible, prior to entering Egypt customs concerning the quantity they will allow you to bring in for personal use.

A bit of common sense should tell you that bringing in a Few bottles would be seen as for personal consumption, but a suitcase full of e liquid might be seen as smuggling to resell and you might very well end up being detained for questioning. Do EXTENSIVE research and don't rely on forums for your answers.

as long as it's in checked baggage it should not be a problem...
carry on you are only allowed up to 100ml bottles and they must fit inside a 1qt zip top clear plastic container

be prepared at security to be stopped and asked questions about your mod, I know I was but then that was a few years ago and all they really knew about were cig-a-likes....so I had to answer a lot of questions and explain/demonstrate what it was and how it worked

300 bottles might be excessive but again, I highly doubt in your checked baggage that it should be an issue, but they may ask and simply explain it is for personal use for the extent of your stay...
I ran out while there but thankfully Vape GT Egypt on fb was very helpful as I wasn't sure where anything was located, they offered to meet me somewhere
