Hi all,

I currently use a zmax mini and protank II for my regular set up; satisfied, but not really blown away. I'm looking at taking the next step and moving to a mechanical mod and move into RBAs. Any suggestions for a beginner? I'd like to avoid buying a clone but do not want to spend an arm and a leg either :p.

Thanks!

Spend lots and lots of time watching videos and reading all the information you can get. Also, make sure you get a multimeter. Getting into RBA's and even in to sub-ohm vaping looks like a lot of fun, but it can be dangerous if you don't know what you are getting in to. I've found it's just easier and less time consuming to stick with EVOD/Protanks or my Aspire BDC and a good solid vv/vw mod. RBA's and mechanicals and all could be a decent hobby for a lot of people, but for me it's all about the simplicity and efficiency of a great tasting vape.

I just bought a magneto and a smoktek scar. Really easy to build with thumb screws - first time I made a dual microcoil with 9/10 wraps and it came out right at a combined 1ohm resistance. The flavor and vapor production is crazy! Not much support for the scar or modding it on the forums that I've found...

I just purchased the exact same setup just waiting for my vapemail :) i was wondering what type of wick n wire u used?
