Why did innokin bother to put a power button on the bottom of the MPV? Am I wrong to think that as long as you don't put a USB into the power out slot, power isn't going anywhere? So, why not just leave the port "hot" and do away with the power button? Am I missing something?

As a side note, I love my MVP. But I wish innokin did not incorporate the power out as a feature. I'll never use it...anyone else use it? If they left this feature off, or offered it as an option, it could reduce the price a couple bucks for those of us who don't need the feature. Comments?

I think it's an awesome feature for you to have on an APV! Can't tell you how many times I've been stuck with low batteries on my cell phone and needed a quick charge. I just got the MPV V2 and just love it. I ground down the bottom power switch with no issues at all so now it sits up well without being unstable. Just my thoughts.

Two Innokin designer/engineers chatting about the "as yet unnamed box vaporizing device" - translated from Mandarin.

D1."Wow!... this is going to be a great (and healthful) device for vaporization!"

D2. "Yes... a wonderful device. We have so much power - 2600mAh - we can do more within this huge housing!"

D1. "But what? A cell phone perhaps?"

D2. "No... to costly. How about a small TV, or GPS, or... I am at a loss, nothing of usefulness is possible within our $12 budget."

D1. I know! A power output port!!! With an on/off switch so some "dillweed" (unsure of translation) doesn't create explosive sparkage in their pockets."

D2. "Mr. Dèng... you are very wise! It can be used to power all the many devices that the Americans, Europeans and Australians carry around with them. You will certainly be promoted to manager some day soon for your great ideas!"

D1. "Why... thank you Mr. Chiao. It is my deepest hope to become manager of the Health & Happiness dept. some day... and for your most wise contribution, I will carry you with me to a position of authority."

D2. "Thank you Mr. Dèng. According to my calculations, it is possible within our $12 budget, to include a switchable power outlet."

D1. "Now... let us set to work, so that we can demonstrate this idea to our esteemed managers."

And now the two men offer hearty (and healthful) congratulations to one another... and break for lunch.

The End.

I just got the MVP 2.0 and it is a great device

have you seen the youtube of it torn apart to fix a faulty micro usb charge port
and it shows the TWO HUGE FLAT 2200mAh batteries ?? (whats up with that)
got me thinking, what if one battery was for "vaping" other for "charging"
and the 'on-off' switch is so you CAN'T hook the power cord across the two terminals
and confuse the onboard circuit board - with the switch, it has to be one or the other

(how's that for a theory)

This guy has one torn apart says its two 3.7 volt 2200mah batteries. They would have to be wired in series for the unit to be able to fire at voltages above 3.7.

So they power either or both features. If you run the battery completely down charging your phone you won't be able to continue vaping. I don't know about you but I'd rather have power for vaping and not for talking to someone on the phone. :)

We used to use a car battery with a coat hanger and a dirty sock coil to vape the leav'ins in my granmas spit cup before all these fancy geegaws came out.
I was fine... until we hit "grandmas spit cup".
