First, I want to say that I will do this review properly in video form as soon as I don't sound like Barry White, which will hopefully be tomorrow. I have a few thoughts still swirling around in my head and I want some time to spend with the juice before I form more solid opinions!
I'm not quite sure whether the Mt. Baker crew has fairies or Keebler Elves working for them, but holy wow, the shipping is ridiculous. I placed my order on 2/2/2013 around noon, received shipment confirmation an hour later, and had my juices in the mailbox at 9:20 this morning, 2/4/2012. That is insanely fast shipping. Considering further that they shipped from Bellingham, WA (that's the STATE!) to CT within one business day, well, I'm not sure how that happened. +1 for shipping. I've never had a juice turnaround that's been that quick.
I ordered Cucumber Mint (1 flavor shot), Black Ice (1 flavor shot), Solar Flare (1 flavor shot) Caramel Apple (2 flavor shots), Blue Moo (1 flavor shot), Butterscotch (2 flavor shots) and Cinnamon Roll with no additional flavoring. All flavors in 65/35 pg/vg, 12 mg nicotine. If you can't tell, I like the extra flavor!
The juices I am witholding review on are Black Ice and Blue Moo. Though their vapor smelled amazing, I think that they both will benefit greatly from steeping. I will review those two at a later time.
Now here goes: All produced significant vapor for me, so consider them all a 5/5. I'm no Phil Busardo, but if a decent amount of vapor is produced, I'm happy.
Cucumber Mint: Throat hit-3/5, definitely not a hard hitter, but would you want it to be? The cucumber is light as is the mint and just pleasantly sweet. Flavor is 5/5, spot on. Very refreshing. I can see this as an ADV in the summer especially.
Solar Flare- Described as a pleasantly tart/sweet menthol vape on the site....I agree entirely. I'm getting mostly a tangerine/mandarin flavor with a hint of menthol at the exhale. And the throat hit on this one is a 5/5 for me! I'm not a big throat hit fan, it usually is more about the flavor for me, but this was one of those "wake ya up" sort of vapes, in a very good way. Flavor is a 5/5 for me as well.
Butterscotch-Butterscotch tends to be something you love or you hate. There aren't a lot of people 'meh' on butterscotch. My boyfriend hates it, my grandmother loves it. In my video I'll go on more about this, but we're quite the butterscotch loving family round these parts. This smells amazing in the bottle. I ordered 2 extra flavor shots (I always get nervous I'm going to jack something up by doing that) and it didn't disappoint. Throat hit on this was smooth, not noticeable to me....probably because I was savoring the butterscotch flavor. It was like a butterscotch candy wrapped in a butterscotch cupcake with butterscotch frosting and a caramel drizzle. And I have first hand experience with those babies, my friends. Flavor is a 6/5, if that were possible. Amazing.
Caramel Apple- I eat caramel apples once yearly, if at all, at our local fair. I prefer the Granny Smiths as the tart flavor mingles with the sticky sweetness of the caramel. I had high hopes for this juice after reading other reviews. Again, Mt. Baker did not disappoint. The throat hit on this one was outstanding (maybe I care a little more about throat hit than I believed I did) a 5/5 for me. And the taste....I have never wanted to drink a bottle of juice before but I almost had to hold myself back. I spent a little extra time on this one, savoring every minute. This is going into a tank as soon as I finish this review. Yowza. Again, flavor exceeds my expectations.
Cinnamon Roll- I ordered this one on the positive reviews I had seen posted here at ECF. Again, Mt. Baker does not disappoint, even straight out of the mailbox. Throat hit was a 4/5, mostly on the cinnamon alone. The cinnamon is not overwhelming, and is sweetened by that familiar sticky bun glazey taste. I can even taste the roll, and this hasn't steeped at all! Flavor 5/5.
I would definitely give Mt. Baker Vapor a 10/10 in customer service, shipping, and quality. At between $4.99-$6.24 that I paid for each 15 mL bottle, the price point is pretty great. Look for a video review to follow once I stop looking like Rudolph!
