Since I've been vaping I've been ordering my juice from EC Blends. Then I succumb to the siren call of MBV. I ordered early so I would have time to steep. My batch way made 12/13. The problem is that after 21/2 weeks still smell and taste terrible. Perfume, alcohol and old socks. The worst offenders seem to be the darker juices, the worst being Ankara Tobacco and Cafe Coffee. The juice flavors aren't that bad. I keep them in a box in the back of my china cabinet. I take them out every night, shake the crap out of them, and put them back. I've even tried heat steeping the Ankara to no avail.
I never needed to wait this long for my ECB juices to mature, though the older they got the better they got.
Experienced MBVs, how much time do I wait until these juices are vapeable? Will they ever be vapeable?
Thanks

Forgot to answer your question - sorry. Ankara tobacco and cafe coffee....I'd give them another couple of
weeks and try again. Also might want to take the caps off and squeeze a little air in there then shake.
Leave the caps off for 24-48 hours, dissipates the perfumy smell..

Why any vendor ships juice before it is ready to be vaped is beyond me.

I say move on, and buy from vendors who pre-steep or don't require it.

If you used logic when referencing why a vendor ships juice as you put it before it's ready then you clearly do not grasp the concept of Fresh Made Juices. With the amount of options that MBV offers it's customers to refine the juices to their personal preference's and the fact that if they made all the juices in each and every option that is available the storage space alone would be a bit staggering. They make it know directly on their site that they recommend aging the juices, so this is not something that is a secret or has some hidden agenda. You say move on, well perhaps buying pre-aged juices is your thing and that is fine, there are those of us that like the fact that we can choose all the different options that are made available to us and we are aware of what needs to be aged and which juices take the longest aging, typically the Tobacco's, coffee's and more complex juices. We also know the quality of the juices and which we like and those we don't. Again, everyone has their own preferences and tastes is highly subjective.

And I know that you are aware of this and fail to understand why such comments need to be made when it's widely known and all this information is on MBV's site that the juices are made fresh a large number of them will require aging to be at the fullest potential.

Again, if you wish to consume pre-aged juice's that is our choice, personally I like to know that what I get is fresh and has not been sitting on a shelf for god only knows how long. So comments such as yours really do not do a service to anyone. The reasoning is there and it is justified for the way the juices is prepared. So I say, if this is something that you just cannot understand, then by all means move on to other areas that are in the realm of your understanding!

I was going to order from MBV today, but I think I will wait on that for awhile after reading this thread.

The sad fact is that you are going to run into some individuals that either do not read or comprehend the specifics of a particular vendor. MBV juices are made to order per your preferences, so yes they are fresh, yes some will require an aging period and yes, there are bound to be flavors that do not appeal to you specifically, however their juices are of a good quality, prices can't be beat and the customer services set's the bar as I know no other vendor that has the level of CS and shipping as MBV does. Single flavor juices typically require a very short aging time such as single fruit flavors, tobaccos and the more complex juices will require a longer aging period for them to come together and let each component reach it's optimum properties.

It's a shame that there are some individuals speak out of turn due to ignorance or something as simple as no patience which can be understandable in some regards, but to try to avert others from trying them out is just really out of line. Ultimately, the only one that can make an assertion of whether you are going to like a particular juices is you, they are your taste buds and senses, not anyone else s. Just ask questions read a bit and the answers you seek will be there one way or another.

Let's also not forget that mbv allows you to add extra flavoring to your juice. Would you want fresh flavor going into old juice?

Best I've found is order a flavor take lid off put a couple drops in your tank and try it see if it's good outta box or needs steeped.
Most fruit flavors I have found if you stay under 2 extra flavor shots if it does need steeped just remove cap and Dripper lid allow to sit in dark cool area for 48 hours put Dropper top back on and lid shake vigorously for about 45 sec and put a couple drops in your tank MOST will be ready to go at this point except tobacco or coffee flavors

ecol, I've aired them out in the past for 24 hours. In fact, I'm airing them out again as we speak. And I forgot to add in my op that I do the ''shake, take the cap off, squeeze the air out, put the cap back on and shake again'' thing every night.
I was just wondering if that smell/taste will ever go away. I can't believe this doesn't bother anyone else.
Thanks for your help.

Go one step farther and remove the drip cap. The small little hole on the top of the drip cap let's hardly any air in or out.

I wish I could offer you some advise on those 2 juices, however those are 2 that I have not tried, I have Vanilla tobacco, 555 regular and menthol 555, Rose Tobacco, Couramin Pipe Tobacco, Rum Tobacco and each of those with the exception of the Vanilla tobacco took 5 - 6 weeks to come to their full flavor profile. As for the Coffee, I can't say that I have really found any from any vendor that was something that I was overly thrilled with. However all the tobaccos I mentioned are ones the I reorder, but they do take a very long time to age. I know that can be a pain in the .... to have to wait however that is just the nature of the juices. MBV tobacco's are not the only ones that I have had to let age for a long time.

My experience with MBV is that some of the flavors are finicky. Some of them do better with different PG/VG ratios, others need an extra flavor shot or two, others get nasty with too many flavor shots. Read the reviews for the flavor to get an idea of the right range. Also, my husband made the mistake of leaving his juice out on his desk and the flavors turned foul. I keep mine in a dark case and I've never had any issues.

This is a good read if you are interested in why some people can taste some things and why others can not.

Well this explains a lot. I tested (taste/smell) the 2 juices I'm having a problem with a with the bunch of vapers at work. One other person and myself could detect it. The 3 other people noticed almost nothing wrong.
I also have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and have a bad reaction to some fragrances.

Np my steeping always fell flat till I figured that out lol
Dude, either you're a genius or I'm a more on. I took the drip cap off like you said and let the juices sit for 24 hours. The funky sock smell is gone from just about all of them. Now I'm working on the alcohol smell. Thanks again.

Np my friend glad I could help. Took me a bit to figure out as well and when I did it was like a light bulb went off in my head lol
Also for the alcohol I usually just randomly squeeze the bottle with drip tip off it blows out old air and let's New air in speeding up the process of the alcohol disapating.

Feel free to message me with any questions if I can help I will :)
