yup, I was fixing to go to bed and checked something on my phone, seen your question so I turned back on my laptop, loaded my atty with this juice. It may be this weekend before I get back on Ecig and sorry I'm telling you my whole life story to get to your question LOL.

I was wondering the same thing with the max VG and flavor. I got a friend who only vapes max VG and I ordered a blue moo with 3 flavor shots ( I'm suprised I didn't get 5 ).I wanted to show him how much better MBV is then the vistavapor blueberry muffin. I got it friday and my first impression was like an explosion of blueberry. I mean this taste more like a blueberry then picking a few off a bush. I didn't get the muffin part though, but it did have flavor. I uncapped it until monday morning. I just tried it right now again. It's not quite so intense in blueberry and there is a little muffin to it. Overall I'm pretty excited about it. To answer your question, yes there is alot of flavor. Oh I forgot I ordered a honeydew 80% VG with 5 flavor shots. I tried it that day, but then mixed it with a wateremelon someone got at a B&M store. It had a lot of flavor too, but like I said I just tried it that once. Everything else was 50/50 and I always get flavor shots with those.
I'm just wondering if their mixers are consistent? The last two orders they have made mistakes. The previous order they left two bottles out, but sent me two bottles of juice I didn't order and this last order I had a 15 ml bottle with a 30 ml sticker on it. I ordered a 30 ml and the flavor was right, but they put it in a 15 ml bottle. both times they made it right and real quick. They told me to keep it.I was willing to send it back. all in all I got 45ml free out of the two orders. I mean I`didn't ask for it, the last order they could have just sent me the 15ml, but they sent me 30ml and told me to keep the 15. It's just if they make mistakes like that then what else? I'm going to order again from them next week and will continue. let me know how it goes okay?

Yup, and they're fine with a long enough steep. 5 flavor shots however is probably just too many and can
actually ruin a juice.

I haven't tried MBV yet (they're in my strikezone for price, so it's just a matter of time), but I've read that 5 flavor shots = 40% of total volume for their juice. That does seem very high, and if you cruise the DIY sub-forum you won't find many advocates for using that level of flavoring. I've seen it stated many times that too much flavoring will actually mute the flavor....

Exactly. I always try with no flavor shots first then max flavor shots is 2 for me.

I've been buying their highest VG only stuff since they got started and... something changed about a year ago. It now takes ages to age their juice. (lol - sorta) The flavors are eventually great - but I'm setting them aside for literally months for the flavor to fully develop. Next order I'm going to try speed steeping to see if that helps. Don't toss 'em - but it may take a lot longer for the flavors to develop than you want.

With the one exception - 5 flavor shots? Really? No idea what you got yourself into. Seems like overkill so I have no idea what you can expect - or when - with that.

I've never used flavor shots for MBV. I mostly only drip their juice. I always order Max VG, 3mg/nic (and I'll add my own nicotine as I see fit).

Also, I almost always buy in bulk, I'll place a ~100$ order every 2-4 months, and then be set for a good amount of time. When I re-order, I usually still have a fair bit on hand, so I'll let the new order sit for a bit before digging into it, so I suppose there is a SMALL amount of steeping going on there.. Other than that, I always think of MBV as a fresh-out-of-box vendor, I've never had a juice necessarily "require" steeping before it gets good. My most common purchases from MBV are a large quantity of thug juice and a larger quantity of hawk sauce. I mix 'em up as I see fit. Some days I'll kick it up with extra menthol from the thug juice, other days I vape almost straight hawk sauce (which supposedly has menthol in it already -- which I can't taste at all..)

That said, this fire cider is unvapeable. Idk if it's cinnamon or what, but I'm letting it sit for a while, hoping it mellows out. Very harsh. Very very harsh.

Also the Cheesecake from MBV is okay, but it leaves kind of a weird smell in the room. I realize it's "cheesecake" but the smell shouldn't be reminiscent of actual cheese.

Never tried either - not a cheesecake fan even for the food let alone the vape. And fire cider just
SOUNDS harsh. You could always try mixing them with something else to see, maybe unflavored
juice? Esp for the cider one.

It was supposed to be a cinnamon apple cider lol. I tried dilluting it with some other less-sweet flavor (currently all my VG is mixed with nicotine), the harshness still exists. It's like it's part of the flavoring or something.

thanks everyone, what's the downside of adding flavor shots? I thought more flavor = better, am I wrong?lol

Three things:

1. Like in any recipe, there's a right amount of an ingredient. Too much flavoring is bad, either ruining the taste altogether, or simply not "blooming" due to insufficient dilution. It's a flavor concentrate, after all, and generally speaking it's carried in PG. If more were better, you could probably vape it straight...but trust me you don't want to do that.
2. As a relatively minor matter, MBV has stated that at 5 shots, their juice is 40% flavoring, which means you're not getting the 70% VG you want.
3. Flavors are the great unknown of vaping risks, so you probably shouldn't inhale more than is needed to make things tasty enough to prevent a return to smoking.

O wow, and yes It's the weekend so I'm back on for awhile, but wow thanks for starting this thread piggypinggy. I'm pretty much a rookie when It comes to a lot of stuff still and I'm thinking since it's high VG (less flavor) why not get the flavor shots if offered ( I mean it makes sense in alot of ways ) I'm now going to research man00ver in the 40% total volume thing. Stuff I know nothing about as of now, and mcol thanks for what you had to say as well. What I do know is the honeydew melon with 5 flavor shots was good even though I had just gotten it, vaped a few drops, then mixed it with another flavor. Also, it really appears I'm in the minority with the firecider. I really loved mine, but I didn't get the overpowering of cinnamon. I don't like alot of cinnamon to start with and took a big chance ordering this after reading the reviews on MBV. What I got was a great balance of sweet and tangy apples and cinnamon. Also, I got a very empty bottle wishing I had ordered more LOL. I ordered it late january and still wonder if they had toned it down a little after the complaints of too much cinnamon. I plan on ordering more next week and this time I plan on letting it age a little as well :)
