Hello, I recently recieved my kanger protank mini 3. I loved it until i started vaping it. So, i am experiencing a nasty taste while using it that i have never experienced on different tank/iclear16's. Did some research and found that i should soapy water wash the metal taste out. My next complaint which i hope some of you can help me with is these dual coils. They do not give me near the vapor i was expecting and definitly less vapor than my previous pyrex tank with a single coil. Some advice was given that i should remove a wick, but when i open these coils up the wicks dont seem to be able to be removed because they are threaded directly through a coil. Frustrated with my purchase, could use some advice:mad:

Cleaning new tanks and cartos is always a good idea, same thing you would do to a set of drinking glasses before first use...:)

You don't mention what sort of mod, or battery you are using. Dual coil setups will require a higher voltage, or wattage as the power is split between each coil. If you have a variable voltage rig, try increasing the voltage slowly until the flavor and vapor is to your liking...:vapor:

Good setup, finding the topper that suits YOU is the important next step. Personally I shy away from dual coils in any style, but I've been using single coil so lung it suits me best. I also prefer top coil carto/clearos, which are out of fashion right now, they take a little more fiddling, modifications, tuning but are best for a nice warm vape (if that's what you like..:))

Yea seriously. It looks awesome, its light weight, easy to take apart but my juice (blue moo from mount baker vapor) doesnt taste the same in the dual coil vs the single coil. It was perfect in a single coil 7 watts. With dual coil i have it cranked to the max 11 watts, still doesnt taste as good and my battery life is seriously bad at 11 watts.

The protank 2, 3, etc. are really beginning to cause issues with a lot of people. Leaks and coil issues are extremely common.. Honestly, I would recommend just boycotting kanger protanks all together.. If you're still interested in using non-rebuildable clearomizers/atomizers, I would definitely recommend the Iclear 30s. I recently purchased an itaste vtr and it came with a 30s attached to it. I have been using a kayfun lite for a while, therefore having to rebuild my coils every two weeks or so, and I was hesitant to purchase the vtr, strictly because it isn't possible to rebuild in any aspect. The iclear 30s has completely relieved any concern I had. It puts out SO much vape and is easily maintained. No leaking what so ever. Just a great clearomizer all around. Ditch the protank and go for the Iclear.

I've always thought that the dual coil systems were gimmicky. I think the step up from what you have is the nautilus or, better yet, a kayfun if you're ready to build a coil (it's easy).

Kayfun? Never heard of it. How does this work? Where can I get one? Any good videos you'd like to share?
