I need quite a bit of help with multicore coils. I can't do anything with more than two core wires. Three or more wires and no matter what I do, the wires just twist up and make a triangular shape. I've tried all of the tips on YouTube (masking tape at the end, and that tip ohmboyoc gave) but they just don't work. Please help!
You're going to need a few things (they'll make your life a LOT easier with multicore builds)

Spinning fishing clip inside a vice. First make sure you cut all of your wire to equal lengths. Then clamp the end of the fishing jig without the clip into the vice. Put your wire into your drill first then feed your wire through the clip. Try to keep them as parallel as you can while keeping the wires straight, with tension on them, then bend the ends that you have going through the clip so they look like the 18g wire in the above picture. Once you have everything taught, no slack in the wires, start twisting; the clip will move with the drill - thus keeping your wires parallel & not triangle formed. Hope this helps.
