To check resistance once it is built just turn it to Ohms and put one end on the nr wire (i go as far from the resistance wire as I can) and the other probe at the opisite end (far end of other nr wire) This should give you the total resistance of the coil. Granted the Ody parts and adapters may slightly increase the resistance

If you want to check resistance of just the resistance part of the coil put your probes at oposite ends of just the resistance part of your coil. Keep in mind that this resistance will be less then your complete built ody. How much so will depend on type of resistance wire used and the resistave charachteristics of your Ody base ceramic housing and other pieces.

And if you want to check while you are building it build one end of your coil put 1 probe at far end of the connected NR wire and slide the other probe down the resistance wire till you reach your desired resistance and attach the other nr wire at that point. Again keeping in mind that the second piece of nr wire may add some resistance depending on type of NR wire and again the rest of the assembly may also add a bit.

Just measuring the resistance of the wire before making my coil seems to work for me. Select the 200 ohm reading, check the inetrnal resistance of the meter first (mines 0.5 ohm) then measure the wire's resistance and substract the meter's resistance.

If already assembled, do just like you would on a china atty, one needle inside the connector pin's hole and one on the threads, and again substract the meter's internal resistance.

This is exactly what to do, I couldn't have said it better myself.
