the atty would burn me if i touched it... But here is what gets me... the switch gets hotter than the body or the top cap...

I think that may be the issue, in bold. Consider pulsing the switch on/off instead of leaving it held on for super long back to back hits.

But the switch heating up is curious too? IDK what's going on with your mod?

My batts get a little warmer on the charger too... but not "hot" by any means.

also the batteries on the charger are warm maybe 80-90 degrees
That is really messed up. Now that I think about it, One time I had some yellow tenergys in my pocket with a handful of change and they got super hot, hot enough to burn my leg through my pants but that was my own fault for keeping my batts with conductive change. I also had the yellow tenergys get really hot on my prodigy v2 and found out that it was from my attys center post getting pressed in to hard which caused the positive to touch the neg on the atty. But the only time they got hot was when I would press the button and the atty did not fire. You should order the AW po4s and send back your mod or do something because it really isnt worth losing teeth over.IMO

my P18 will be here soon, also my switch is messed up really bad from dropping it, it wiggles badly

Ill test the batteries out in my new P18 if that doesnt work I may just get some 18650 batteries and go 3.7 vaping, or I may trade my P18 for a P10 when the new batteries can fit in the p10 if they give it 5+ hours that is

What kind of Device did you drop? The P10 will only give you a couple hours vaping max. The 18650, i think Switched said he got 29 hours out of it with the AW 2600mah battery.

Woa, woa! please back your horse up :)

For starters, depending on your vaping style etc... getting 5hrs + out of a 10440 is reaching. I have seen reports on the 500mAh 10440, and folks can correct me if I am wrong, those ratings are inflated, because you physically cannot fit that much chemistry in a 10440 batt. 320 is the norm and even some suggest this is a tad high as well. In all honesty about 3 hrs is what is available from a 10440 batt, less using an LR atty which is strongly discouraged. A good rule of thumb is to expect 1-1.5hrs per 100 mAh, which of course decreases over the lifespan of the battery. I have found this to be pretty much a quick reference to go by and as Dave pointed out, I get 28-29 hrs on a 26oomAh an AW 18650.

Based on what we discusse last night, it may very well be your device that is causing this. I forgot one quesion. When was the last time you cleaned your Xhlaer? You button contact may very well be dirty (natural oxidation) and requires to be cleaned. If there is black on the tube, your tube and button are not making adequate contact, causing an overcurrent situation, = heat.

I'm not a real heavy vaper at work and I could go all day on my 10440 P10.
But... on weekends I'd get 3½ - 4 hours out of it before I'd have to change batts.

With the P16 I can go all day at work and maybe an hour or so after I get home but usually change the batt as soon as I walk in. I also pop in a fresh batt first thing in the morning before I leave. The performance with a fresh batt is where I like it.

I've not cleaned my P16 since I got it. It doesn't need cleaning.. The performance is the same as the day I popped it outta the mailbox.
I would like to see a SS stem in the atty connector though. Even if it causes a 0.008v drop in resistance...

Maybe when the 4in1 top for the Precise units is released it will be all stainless¿

I actually got a tube of the Silver Conducting Grease ($40/gram) a long time ago and do put a dab of that on everything new (contacts, threads, etc).. I don't think I've ever had to reapply it on anything.. It's just too damn expensive is it's biggest drawback..

And... I wasn't complaining.. Just thinking out loud for a truly "ALL" stainless PV.

I love the stainless threads... That's probably the only drawback that the T1 has is the aluminum threads.. And i checked the top of the P16 to see if it would fit :)
