cause I am not finding the VK as easy to use as others. I still love it ... the flavor is great from what little vape I am getting (I hate Dr. Pepper as a drink but the cart is fantastic :D) and I love the two piece set up ... but most of the time I can't get much flavor or vapor. My dear friend PhoenixRising was lovely enough (as usual ... love ya girl) to set me up with all of this so I want to get the best out of her gift.

With the passthru: several primer puffs and long slow drags and I can get about 50% of the vapor that I get out of my 510s (I have two ... one from Health Cabin and another from Eric at Vapor Station) or my 901 (from ecigarettecigar.com). The draw with the passthru is easier than my 901 but not quite as easy as my 510s. Sorry if this is all TMI but I just want everyone to know where I am coming from with the issues ... basically I want more vapor and everyone else seems to be getting tons especially with the passthru.

With the batteries ... yes they are fully charged when I try them. I know that the batteries work great themselves because I can hook them up to my 901 atty and cart and they work fabulously and last FOREVER! But when I combine them with a VK cartomizer I get even LESS vapor than with the passthru. I can have the atty pretty warm to the touch and still not get enough vapor even with long slow drags as everyone recommends.

With both the batteries and the passthru I am lining the holes in the batt/passthru with the notches in the top of the cart ... better but not where I feel it should be. I tried topping off a cart with some nHaler juice (don't have my Nobacco juice order in yet) and it didn't make any difference.

Everyone else has had so much success with this thing that I wanna share the happiness ... I am sure that it must be user error because the product itself seems perfect. Am I spoilt by my other setups and nHaler juice addiction? Am I expecting too much? Help ... I am sure I am doing something wrong ....

Sorry for the long-windedness ... I have a tendency to do that :D

I know that I have varying vapor production with different flavor carts - have you tried refilling / filling any of your carts with a juice that you know prodcues really good vapor for you previously? Just a thought. And I do believe that the dtandard VK / KR808D that I use does not produce as much vapor as some of my other e-cigs, but the simplicity and massive throat hit I get seems to be much better. Also, the cartridge life is the biggest plus for me I think, and I can get very similar if not just as good vapor production when I use Drew's juices or my own VG/PG juices.

Anyway, just some ideas - I hope it picks up for you!! :)

EDIT: After depleting some cartomizers I refilled w/ some of Drew's 555 24mg and it produces pretty darn good vapor. I refilled from the battery side, 5 drops at a time (5 drops, hold on its side and roll it a few times, 5 more, etc, until I get about 20 drops in there - if you do all 20 at once it will run through and spill out on you), let it sit for a few minutes and vape away.

Take care,
- Hap

My wife is having the same problem with vapor production. I keep telling her to draw only hard enough to get the LED on the end of the battery lit. When she really concentrates, she gets it, and literally chokes her. We've only had th VK for about a week, but there is definitely a steep learning curve, especially since this is our first real e-cig (not counting the Smoke Assassin mistake).

Hope this helps,
Tom

When I first got mine I felt the same way trying all the different carts and strengths make a big difference. I feel like get alot more from the higher ones. But The biggest thing that helped me was trying to suck lighter and lighter and as easily as possible as possible it seems the more gentle the slow pull it is the more it actually produces. Hope this helps:)

Thanks for the advice so far (we need a thanks button :D ) ... I am going to keep at it as I really do like the setup, but I keep getting frustrated with the nic fit and going back to my 510.

Ya'll (from TX ... 'scuse the vernacular) are right ... slower drags do make better vapor ... but still not as much as I am used to otherwise. I will keep at it and try to be patient ... not usually one of my virtues.

My girly is having the same problem. I have been wrapping tape around the holes and then poking holes in two of the openings. This works perfect for her, but it would be VERY nice to have a couple of batteries with a little tighter draw for her. Would pretty much seal the deal on the VK for my fiance. At the moment she still picks up the 4081 from time to time just because she doesn't have to ask me to tape it after a battery charge or a flava change. Do you have enough for me to buy 2 of them off you?:D

At first I thought the draw was a bit too light on the vk, but just right on the passthrough. Now, I find them both just right as far as draw goes. Guess I got used to it. As for vapor, I commented in my review that the vapor was just a bit less then on my 510, however, the consistant throat hit and taste more then made up for it.

On my 510 the only time I got hits anywhere near comparable to the VK is when I topped off the cart and dripped on the atty. That is just too much work for me. I can't vape on the job (work at a school lol) so I am usually vaping to and from work. It is so nice not having to carry around little bottles of juice!

I hope you can get yours working the way it should, but I guess we need to consider that everyone is different too and have different preferrences lol! We won't hate you if the VK is not your vape of choice... ;) But give it a chance... it may just surprise you!

You can cut the top off of one of the protective caps that come with the cartomizer and slide it down over the holes. The more you slide it down over the holes, the stronger the draw. In fact if you slide it down too far you won't be able to draw...lol

This is genius! Why didn't I think of that? LOL I'll have to give this a shot until I can order some more batteries (been looking to buy some spares anyway). Thanks Gazoo!
