Either a V3 or a V4, there really isn't much reason to get a V2.

I have both a V3 and a V4. Bottom airflow always provides superior flavor(see: Magma, Kennedy, Freakshow, etc.) but you have to build, wick and drip properly to avoid leaking.

If you want better flavor either get a V4 or a totally different atty. If you only want clouds and don't care much about flavor, get a V3.

V4 arrived today and put in dual Claptons @.25 and it's rocking!

Took care when wicking to keep the rayon away from the bottom air holes and I'm running it wide open with no leaks..and a load of vapor!

Flavor's not too bad either even with all the vents open. Haven't tried shutting down any of the side vents yet--I'll get to that later ;)

Meantime...the weather up here is mostly cloudy with a good chance of nic rush :vapor:

How can you get it not to leak mines always a mess I gave up and am using my velocity, stumpy, mini haze/fteakshow

For me anyway, here's what I've been doing so far--

I made sure that the wick does not lay on the deck or touch the holes--just tuck the tails into the juice well and juice it up--then look under the coils and use a screwdriver to push the wick away from those holes making sure it's going down into the well. Then when adding juice I hit the coil and wick with some juice and then hit the center area where the mounting screws are with another 6 to 10 drops and let it slide down into the well until I feel like it's enough---

So far so good and it's been about 7 hours and 10 or 12 mils of juice ~lol~

Avoid the v2 like the plague. Because it used a specialized tool that LOOKED like an allen key, but was keyed into a triangle. The metal on said tool was of poor quality - felt like tempered aluminum and had a tendency to round off / snap at the slightest torque. MXv3 all the way - it comes with the standard MX style drip tip, a 510 drip tip adapter, and has phillips head screws in it. Which means no special tool, can practically use anything you want to tighten it, and it just feels of better quality than the v2. The v4 - I would suggest that if you aren't worried about a bit of juice leaking and aren't prone to crushing barrels (as the v4 barrel has been thinned out quite a bit). Although both my v4's leak very little - I've seen them leak profusely. Most of the leaking seen in the v4 comes from the O-rings that secure the barrel to the deck. The bottom airflow is a nice addition, just understand that if you ARE going to use the bottom airflow, you can't just go ape.... and drip juice into the atty. You need to paint your coils and wicks with the juice. If you just drip directly into the atty onto the deck, you run into the issue of juice pouring out of the bottom holes. Honestly - it's your juice and your choice...

After a week with my V4, my V3 arrived.

MUCH better design in my opinion...Way better Orings, much more juice/wick capacity, thicker "shell"..and yes, less leakage.

Turns out that for me, The V3 is a clear winner and the V4 should go the way of Windows ME and Windows 8 if ya get my drift...

I have the v4 and I like it a lot. Right now I'm running a 24g parallel 8 wrap single coil with a 3mm ID, and I have yet to have any leaking problems. I use the silicone plug for the bottom airflow on the side without the coil and have top cap airflow open only on the side with my coil. When I juice up I just drip into the juice well on the non-coil side and the wicks feed my coil. Great flavor when I block off the top cap airflow, but I usually keep it at least partially open to get a good mix of vapor/flavor.

I hear ya dDubs...probably will run my V4 the same way next time I rebuild it--single coil.

Just a bit disappointed with how thin the chamber cover is and the skinny little orings that keep it attached. The dual Orings on the V3 make a much better seal and keep the chamber tube in place very securely.

I hear ya @gpjoe ...I'm considering filling in the airholes on one side with silicone sealer and making it a semi-permanent single coil dealie. I tried a single coil last week in it and it does chuck the vapor even on one coil.

Could be quite useful especially for when I'm testing out new DIY liquids as it would be much easier to rewick a single than a dual coil in between batches.

And @dDubs -- I agree on the price point. I picked up a V3 and the V4 for less than $20 each shipped so even if I gave the V4 away I'd still be happy.[/URL]
