Just picked up a MX v2 last night and it is way to airy. 0.4 build with 26 ga. Even with only 3 holes partly open its airy and flavor isn't even close to my tobh. I tried closing off all holes and it still sucks air, bad gasket maybe? I love the build deck but a little resistance in airflow would be nice. Any advice?

I just got one myself and I did a single coil build and it's been pretty good flavor wise, maybe having it in single coil mode with the one side of air holes closed completely off gives it a more concentrated flavor, just a guess I have done a dual coil build on it yet so I can't say for sure. This thing is super airy, the bore on that drip tip is gigantic and 18 air holes is kinda overkill (I can't see a situation where anyone would want to use this thing with all 18 holes wide open, maybe cloud chasing). You could probably get away with using a little more wicking material as well, those juice channels are pretty deep, this could possibly improve the flavor.

From the looks of it you have a clone of the V2, unless you changed the post screws, the screws on the original are like a triangle screw. I would try to see if you are getteing air though those o-rings too and maybe try replacing them might help. It does have a lot of airflow even just with a couple open. I like more airflow when I want to fog up the place with 70 or 80 watts at .2 ohms. I would say its better for clouds than flavor, But still good flavor if built for it.

I have a MX v2 and love it.
Run all holes wide open.
I learned quickly tho that if you want flavor do not build regular coils on this beast. Twisted or parallel dual coils improves the flavor big time. Another trick I'm finding is to build below .5 ohm or its worthless.

Also after you check the o rings check that the block offs are snug to the area where the holes are. Mine seals so well with all blocked its almost impossible to draw from.

Pic of my build. Dual 28g A1 parallel wrapped on 2.4mm ID 0.3ohm.
I'm getting great flavor and good clouds.

What's crazy is a lot of guys around here use chuff caps on these.

If you want crazy flavor get a 14mm RDA like the squid.

Nice build, checked o rings and they are good. The fins that block the air holes are not snug and completely closed off still pretty ez to draw from. I noticed your coils are more at an angle than straight out like a center post build. Is there a reason for this? Looks like how I have to build my tobh.

Yep it is a tobeco clone. Thank you all for the replies. Will change the o rings and see if it helps. Any suggestions on a different Atty with the dual/block center post with lower airflow and regular drip tip. Flavor is foremost and cost around $25 to $35.
Some people don't like the plumeveil but I love it. I don't have leaking issues outside of any regular RDAs.

The MX is made for clouds. Best flavor you'll get is in single coil mode or by doing twisted wire builds.
If you want real flavor you need something like a plume veil. I use a dark horse right now but as soon as my local shop gets more plume veils in stock I'm buying one for sure. I had a MX1 and MX2, i get better flavor from the dark horse for sure and I'm much happier with it then either MX that i had

I have an X v2, and its very airy, i use it pretty much just for clouds, but for flavor I love my Black CLT RDA Rebuildable Atomizer by Infinite, it has a pretty shallow reservoir though, but the shortness and the smaller airflow (not restrictive though) gives me a great flavor on it, and it was pretty cheap, about 30$ on vapordna
