Hey everyone, I just just recently picked up my 2nd , and it just happened to be the mutation x v4. So here's what I think.

The GOOD: First impressions are a big thing to me, so initially that's what drew me to this little bad boy. I asked the local b&m about an rda with stupid wide air flow, and it was the first thing he pointed to. I saw the e2 bottom air holes with the different sized holes , just about as fast as I saw the 9 on the sides! Secondly I loved the amount of control you have with the airflow, it even comes with little (silicon maybe?) Plugs that go into the bottom holes. I tooknow a quick look down the barrel to see what was under the hood, standard 4 post nothing tof exciting about that but the juice well is another story. It has the dog-bone like shape, which is great fto give your wicks a little more spreading out to keep the middle of the cotton saturated ! Not a big fan of the drip tip it comes with, but I do love that it comes with a 510 adapter so I can just slap on my favorite acrylic tip. After about a month of this RDA and I'm hooked!

The BAD: I love the RDA, but just like everything else in life it has its downsides. So, first major issue was flooding ! With the way the airflow holes are setup (directly under the coils, and right above the juice well) it leaks right through, so when you first get this, do not go dumping your favorite juice in this first, there is many trial and error to be had. My next minor issue, condensation! Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that with something that has as many airholes as the sucker, there is going to be a little condensation, but I never anticipated the volume of after-juice I'd have to clean off. With that being said this RDA is now my stay at home toy. It's a hassle to be on the road or in the office and constantly have to hassle with a paper towel and a little ejuice on your hands.

THE CONCLUSION : If you are tiptoeing your way to cloud chasing, this RDA is a milestone, it's great for helping you figure out not only the different builds you can do with 2 coils, and different resistances, but with different wicking styles as well. I'm currently just running 2 double stranded twisted kanthal coils, down to about .18 ohms, just fogging up my house, it's insane. Also, this thing helps you figure out exactly what kind of airflow you like, that way with your next RDA you're prepared for that RDA that is just perfect for you. Although I do wish that I could take this thing out my front door without taking a roll of paper towels with me, it makes the perfect TV lounging vape experience.

I hope I just made someones life a little bit easier in making any kind of decision on their next RDA. If that's you or you just have some sort of story to tell or comments to share feel free and reply below
GOD BLESS, AND HAPPY vaping !

Your conclusions on the MXv4 are common ones. The RDA is great to figure out what sort of airflow you like, because it has everything short of top airflow like the Kennedy demon cap for the v2comp/22.
It is also great to train you to be aware of minor details, because it will punish poor builds or wicking jobs with leaking.
In terms of keeping leaking to a minimum (overfilling notwithstanding), be really careful of your wick placement in relation to the bottom airflow inlets, especially the little one. If your wicks contact the airflow "ledge" juice is likely to get pulled off your wick and down the airflow by surface tension and capillary action.
Similarly, be careful with the inner airflow control ring, it can pose problems if it contacts the wick or coil.
Although it doesn't help a lot for the juice that condenses in between the RDA barrel and inner AFC ring, continuing to draw after you stop firing your mod will cool off the coil so it doesn't continue to steam after your hit helps a bit with the condensation problem.
Have fun with the RDA, it is a good one to help you figure out what you want next.
