I love my mutation but I done one problem with it. About two weeks ago, I posted a thread about my x cube ii stopped working. Found out liquid was getting in through the screw holes. Well got it replaced and realized how bad my mutation leaked athe the lower holes for bottom air flow. The rda comes with plugs fire those holes:I highly recommend if you're using a regulated, digital, high end mod, you definitely use these plugs. It prevents you're rda from leaking onto inadvertently into you're mod. I may be late to give this warning, but hopefully it call help someone out there from facing the same issue as me

Yep the v4 leaks so bad my entire device would be covered in juice every time I took the case off to change the batteries. Had to take a break from dripping after using it for the last few months
Well the plugs kinda helped, but the juice still lala through the sleeve even though there are 3 freaking o ring gaskets. I'm thinking about going to the hardware store or auto parts store and getting to find some that are slightly thicker than the factor ones. Also thinking about permanently closing off the bottom holes somehow.
I tried the plugs but they were a hassle while rewicking and knew it was only a matter of time until they went missing. My orings were thick enough to prevent leaking through the sleeve but unless you drip straight down the middle or paint the wicks it leaks half the juice u put in. I used half a box of KGD trying to find the best wicking method but everything made a mess after a few hours so I'm only using it to test juices now
I put mine away for the Vapocalypse and now rotate through three V3s instead.

If I break out my V4 again I will fill the bottom holes with food grade silicone and replace the orings with some that fit tighter.

I agree, you have to be careful that you don't over drip and i just remove the chuff cap to drip.
I prefer not having to take the top cap off 50 times a day or worry if I'm overfilling it every time. I've been dripping for over a year and never had another rda leak this bad unless you hold it sideways. I sit at an angle most of the day though so that's probably why the v4 didnt work for me but I got a crown tank last week and can finally enjoy vaping again
Well what would be a dual coil Rda you could recommend that doesn't leAK bad and has a good sized juice well?
My old plumeveil and quasar rarely leaked and the CLT v3 wasn't quite as bad as the mxv4 (although when it did leak they were big drops that were very painful if it landed on your skin). I wouldnt recommend any of those now though, the only type of rda I'd buy are ones with top air flow like the hastur, sapor or vector.

Mine leaks, but not through the bottom, but because of the deck o-rings. They're crap. Good thing I used to be hardcore into paintball and have a ton of spare o-rings from my collection of markers (guns)
The mxv4 is a pretty bad offender for leaking.
There are some things you can do to mitigate it when you build.
The biggest is keep the wicking cotton or rayon away from the bottom airflow holes, especially the small one on the right hand side. If the wick even touches the deck lip @ the small airflow hole juice will get pulled in from capillary action.
The inner airflow control makes the build deck a lot smaller than it appears with it out; wick contacting it can cause juice to flow around a bit and start to weep out.
A z-wick setup can help a lot with the leaking tendencies, but you still gotta baby the mxv4.
The only good use I've found for mine is subohm cloud blowing, the crappy post screws have a hard time amputating 22g kanthal.
If you let condensation build the side airflow will always weep, even if it is closed.

Even with the plugs installed it leaks all over my mods. Folks will say "build it right, drip correctly, and it won't leak". Well, I've been building and dripping for a while and just don't want to work that hard. It's just not worth my time or aggravation. Much easier to vape something less "fussy" - like the V3.
Never had any issues with mine leaking, but I have been running a single parallel coil in it. I have the silicone plug in the side without a coil. When I drip, I drip into the juice well on the side opposite the coil. As long as you don't over do it, it's fine. I find the bottom airflow gives great flavor, and the x4 is probably my favorite dripper I have so far. But I do want to get a velocity..
Verdict on this atty is that it's a leak machine no matter what. I just picked up a Kennedy 24 about a week or so ago and I haven't had one problem with leaking yet. Even if I over drip, it doesn't leak. Much better bottom airflow system than the v4.Yeah, put mine away too.

I'd recommend the Alliance RDA - good size juice well and a lot of stuff in the package. Depends on the size you're looking at as well. Fogwind / Vaporgate have 2 sizes of the Alliance RDA now. 1 is 26.5mm (I believe) and the other is 22mm. The juice well is DEEP! And it sports a uni-post design with 3 posts. The only post that touches the well is the center. The negatives have been milled out of the deck and have nice grooves cut underneath them to fit wick under.
