...probably some sort of amp limiting circuitry shutting you down...if it is in the box mod, there is nothing you can do except goto a higher ohm carto...if it is the batts, new/diff ones can help ya...in my box, (an Evercool) I am just using the grey Ultrafires from MV and even drawing 3+amps they just run and run(maybe it's the batt, maybe it's the box)........

And BTW - just so you don't have another problem - once you get the AW IMR batteries - their positive end button aka nipple is very shallow and sometimes will not reach the metal contact in plastic mod boxes due to a raised piece of plastic that holds the positive metal contact in place in the box. I usually have to use a thin rare-earth magnet battery spacer on the positive end of any AW IMR to get it to touch the metal contact plate in the box mod.

I believe I use the thin 6mm spacers on the upper right here.
Battery Spacers
One spacer between the nipple of the AW IMR and the metal contact plate in the plastic box mod. Get a couple. I have only ever used single battery 3.7v box mods so the battery in the left section of the box (my only battery) was where I needed a spacer. I don't know if the section to its right will also need a spacer. Alternately, some people scrape or file down the plastic that is blocking the AW IMR's nipple from reaching the contact plate.

And BTW - for now, while you are waiting for new batteries, Boge 3 ohm cartos should be real nice (LR) on your 5v.
