I just got the MVP 2.0 about two weeks ago. So how do I know when the coils need cleaning or replacement? It seems like it's harder to get a good hit now. I think that is a clue.

Also being new should I start at low ohms and low volts and work my way up?

The dealer I bought from,Vapingtown2013 is a eBay seller if anybody knows him. And he said the 16D bottom four wick coils are in his words"way better" and I should think about getting those from now on. When my 16's give out. Your advice is needed please.

Thanks in advance,Dale

Oh, good made in America juice wanted also. And where to buy.I bought Halo sample packs the tobacco and gourmet he first go around.

Not sure what juice attachment you are using, but if a clearomizer 2 weeks sounds about right to replace the coil heads. A drop in vapor production, muted flavors, and a burnt taste are signs its time to replace them.

I'll assume the tank you're using is the iClear 16 which often come with the MVP kit. If I recall, those are 2.2 ohm coils if not mistaken. There's a general formula to use: Ohm rating + "2" = voltage. (So 2.0 ohm + 2 = 4 volts) Most people adjust to their personal taste or for the particular flavor they use, so start low and work up in increments to what tastes best to you.

My favorite e-liquid vendor is Dripeez. They specialize in all-natural, all-organic fruit flavorings.

Switch to VW and set it to about 7.0 or 7.5 to start. Hold down the right button until your current wattage setting displays and then press the buttons to set it up or down. The advantage with VW is that it will adjust for any resistance differences in your clearos.

Not sure that I would switch to the 16b from your 16. I have its big brother the 30b and have had some quality issues with both the coils and leaking from the tank. My wife uses the 16 and has had no troubles with them. You should think about ordering some coils from Fasttech. They sell them in a 5-pack for $5.91. Will take a while to get them but will save you money. They also sell the iClear 16 for $3.05 each. You should have multiple clearos just in case.

I also just got an MVP 2.0 from vapingtown2013 and love it. The iclear 16s are 2.09 ohm according to their site. My iclear always reads 2.0 or 2.1 on the device. That video that Baditude posted is good and helped me clean out the iclear when I was trying out a new juice.

I only change the wattage on my MVP....usually around 8.0 or 9.0. I forget the link but there was an article saying it's easier to just adjust the wattage rather than the voltage. Just ordered a Mini Protank II and am curious to see how that compares to the iclear.

As for juice, I am completely new so I don't have much experience but I did just receive some great tasting ones from southern-steam.com based in Austin, TX.

My MVP came with a 16b iclear. I'm a pyrex fan, so I gave it to my boyfriend. He really likes it, which surprise me since he prefers a top coil. I use my Protank 2 on my MVP. I also have a mini Protank and and Aro 2 that I use. I prefer a single coil and something rebuildable.

With that said, I like a 2.2 to 2.5 ohm. I like a slow draw over a faster draw that heats up too fast. Depending on the juice I'm using, I'm usually set at about 7-7.5 watts. +/- depending on your taste preference, or getting a burnt taste.
