i have a vtr but have only had it for 2 days. i love it so far. its built like a tank and its just as heavy, i think close to a pound. to me i prefer the recessed tank and changeable batteries. the silver is a finger print magnet, i got the green and it looks great. ive never tried the mvp so i cant compare and im a new vaper so take what i say with a grain of salt. i got it for $67 (evape.us) with free shipping (took 2 days) after coupon. i dont remember the coupon but im sure you can google it.

I love my VTR. Got it because I liked the recessed 510 connection, looked very portable/compact, and it takes 18650 batteries. I use Panasonic IMR NCR18650PF batteries that are rated at 2900 Mah and 10 amp continous output. I am a heavy vaper & one battery gets me through more than a day. Also liked the flexibility of having 15 watt output compared to 11 watts on the MVP 2.0. Don't think the price difference is too much either so getting more for the money, IMO. It is solidly built and feels high quality. It is pretty heavy but I don't mind at all. I would say it was definitely designed for guys. The 19 mm ring at the top does limit atomizer selection somewhat but the iClear 30S, Protanks, Kayfun Lite 2.1, iClear X.1(new) and some others will fit. There is a full list of what fits without adapter somewhere on the forum. You have to use the included adapter for devices that have a diameter over 19 mm. However, I'm going to see if I can fit my Kayfun Lite Plus clone on without the adapter when I receive the nano tank kit (shortens by 10 mm). I've also seen atleast one person mill off the ring which allows for just about any device to fit. Probably more than most people are willing to do. I bought a leather belt holster for an old flip style motorola phone and it fits the VTR great. It even has a recessed flap for the drip tip to poke through. Worked out very well because I certainly wasn't going to carry it in my pocket. If you do decide to get the VTR, I would suggest you get the updated version that doesn't have the spinning thumb wheel at the 510 connection. Look for an ebay seller that specifically states they are selling the updated version. The older version, I hear, has issues with reading resistance and making a good connection. Plus, the connector is just plain wobbly. I have the new version and the connector is rock solid with no issues. Probably more info than you needed but hope it helped.

it all depends on what yor looking for. the major thing to think about is do you want a built in battery or one that you change out and charge externally. i do not have an VTR but i do have an MVP v2.0. the thing that i love about having an internal battery is that all i have to do is throw it on the same charger that i use for my android phone and its charged and lasts me about 3 days before i have to charge it again and it can be used as a passthrough when its charging. the VTR takes the standard 18650 batteries and can be canged out very easily. the thing i dont like about the VTR is that if your tank system doesnt fit in the rings you have to use an extender and that defeats the purpose of the recessed 510 connector and you basically have a MVP with a few added things. if you want the ability to change out batteries and are using a tank thatll fit go with the VTR. if your primarilly using devices that are bigger and want the ease to just plug it in at night like your phone then go with the MVP v2. either way you go it will be a great device and a great vape. if moneys not an issue id just buy both. you cant go wrong with getting both

Well put Nate.. I'm in the same boat I've been very happy w/ my MVP V2, but I purchased it because I thought it was gonna be my stay @ home Vape. I have been recently looking into another VV/VW mod such as and Evic, or Sid, then I thought I settled on a ZMAX but now I think I like the Box Mods!!! So I'm ordering the VTR. Not sure how the 18650 batteries gonna work for me since I have to purchase that separately.. But the solid build, and reliabilty of my MVP is whats driving me to purchase the VTR, and the recessed 510 connection, and finish also plays a part in the decision, so I think Both will serve you well!!! MVP for outside the house & and VTR for Inside, atleast that's what I think my Application will be!!! Vape On....

at a view piont of extended usage the VTR wins.....the mvp is a disposable device after all..but the mvp is more portable my:2c:
gonna get haters for this...if money aint a issue get a P R O V A R I ......lol
sorry had to do it :vapor:

I guess maybe if the weight of the VTR is just too much for you to handle, but from a design perspective, The MVP with a tank on top is one of the most awkwardly shaped things in the world.
