Month old MVP 2, the inner threads are stripped. I can no longer use my kayfun with this mod. I can use my Protank 2 Mini as it utilizes the outer threads.

My question is, anyone seen an adapter I can make use of? Both ends would need to be female, one to screw onto the outer threads, the other end would allow my kayfun to screw into it.

Thanks!

This is the only place I know that have them, you just gotta keep checking the website and jump on them when available. You could give them a call to see when they are expected to be in stock again. EGO to EGO 510 Atomizer Adapter : L Js E-Smokes, Electronic Cigarettes EDIT: Actually, it says on the website that they expect to have more within the week.

This thread seems to be keeping track of things if you want to follow. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/where-can-i-get/526705-ego-external-510-adapter.html

Is it possible to use it one last time? A 510 to 510 adapter (extender) or 510 to ego adaptor. If nothing will thread on and stay, then I got nothing.

Maybe put some al. foil or wire around the threads, then keep it on permanently if it works, or at least till the proper adapter is available.

I was able to get it working with some wax dental floss for about 20 minutes, then it loosened right back up. In the meantime, I am using a Protank 2 Mini, which serves its purpose. After using a rebuildable for the past week, I realize how amazing they really are when you need to go back.

Thanks for the reply!

You could use a tap and die set if you know the thread count /size.

Don't know what it is at the moment. I'll be looking into though in case my MVP 2 develops it.

Hmmm, these sets run ~$40, which is what I paid for my MVP 2. The fella(vapingtown on ebay) I bought it from said I could send it back, and if it looks like "its my fault", he is going to send it right back and not replace it. Well, how am I supposed to know what he will use to determine fault?

This is exactly what bugs me about 510 threading for these huge tanks. It's a weak link in the vape chain. What they need is ego threaded adapters for larger tanks. That would be an awesome accessory, but it would be better if the manufacturers built their bottom plates accordingly. Then the air intake can also be from the side. Got that, Kanger, et al?

Cheapest set they have is 10 bucks. Looking at the fitting I measure 1/4 " or 7 mm.

Found this in the modding subforum: 7mm x.5

So they DO EXIST!
Never saw one before; would love to have pack of those; perfect for isolating the battery from possible leaks and for not screwing on the mod all the time.

I use the eGo base from miniprotank onto my protank.
