Okay, so I've been vaping on my itaste mvp 2 all day. The past few vapes have had a burnt taste to them. I am using an evod bcc clearo reading at 2.7ohms on it. I just replaced the head on it, so it should be fine but it's not. I have tried it on 8.0 (watts) all day with no problem but now I'm getting a burnt taste... any suggestions on what I can do?

The 8.0 watts can be too high if you are toking on it too rapidly or have been using it a while. Once it is burnt, I would also dump the liquid in the tank and rinse it out and the mouth piece as well as replacing the head. Some juices will pick up the burnt taste and then you have to start all over. Usually at the first hint of burning is the time to replace the head. At least for me.

If you are using the stock Kanger heads, and you are using a higher viscosity 50/50 or higher VG blend, you will need to remove one or both of the flavor wicks that rest on top of the coiled wick. Pop off the top tube on the atomizer head and you will see the "flavor wicks". Take one out and try it. Also be sure to prime your wicks by taking a few, short, unpowered puffs on your device. If you see the bubbles rise, you are doing the right thing. More than likely, it is your atomizer not wicking properly. I rock my Kanger heads at 8-9 watts no problem after amending the flavor wicks. Hope this helps!

i run mine at about 7.0 - 6.5 with 1.9 ohm head ... but i take longer draws from it .. like 4 to 6 seconds ...

if i turn the power up on it some i get burnt after a while ....

letting it rest longer between each puff can help ... and cleaning the head with some alchohol every now and then or alternating between some while you have one soaking and one drying can help ...

careful pulling out some of the wicks ... that can also cause leaking on some if the main wick is to small ...

i use a mvp 2.0 with a G50 ... (legit kanger coils tho, and i occasionally will rebuild one myself)

Thanks so much for the replies, I turned down the wattage to 6.5 and after putting some new juice in it works fine. Maybe not as warm a throat hit as I would like, but still getting the job done without a burnt taste. I guess I take too many frequent long draws from it to run it at a higher wattage.

when you get some more coils get ones with a little lower ohm to give you more of the warmness and throat hit ... but will need to stick with shorter draws as well with them.

the 1.9s work great for me .. but i still have to remind myself about the draws ... so used to my old hookah that i am moving away from.
