I agree.
A lot of the discussions regarding the MVP state opinions about how sturdy and solid the MVP feels. At the end of the day however the MVP is still a disposable device.
I own a SID, an eVic and a vamo. Thought about an MVP. I LOVE my eVic, but I know what it is.
In the end I came to the conclusion that I don't need another disposable device. I am handy and heve kept all of my "disposable" devices functioning. Not without repairs however. I have epoxy-d my eVic back together, futzed with a flakey fire button and center pin on my SID. The Vamo is still pretty new, no issues yet but out of all of them I can at least get some parts for the vamo.
The deal breaker for me with the MVP is that if I can keep the mechanics and the circuitry alive in a MVP it is still game over when the battery wears out.
I am not jabbing at the cheap Chinese regulated mods as obviously I have spent a few dollars on them. I could have bought a serviceable device however with the money I have spent on lesser devices. But then I wouldn't have 3 different mods. I do enjoy them all for different reasons.
Kind of why I have a cheap M16 clone mech also. I can sub ohm with that!
I will say one thing....if my MVP ever does fail, I'm going to mod it with a 20 or 30 watt board. I do like the MVPs form factor a lot!
