I'm asking this question on behalf of a friend who just bought an MVP V2 starter kit, and is having problems with it; sounds like it's not firing consistently.

He doesn't have regular access to an internet computer, and I won't have a chance to meet up to look at his setup until later in the week.

I wonder whether it's a connection problem between the MVP and the iClear, has anyone run into this sort of problem before?

Since your friend may be new to mods, it could be a number of things. More than likely he has been over-tightening the juice attachments on the MVP's connector. This is a fairly common issue with the MVP's. I have to adjust the center pin on my MVP at least once a week, even being careful to not over-tighten my juice attachments. The center pin is rather loose compared to most other mods and is easily pushed down into the MVP. Others have offered that the outer ring of the MVP connector is too deep, a minor design flaw.

Your friend should invest in a small screwdriver set (he'll need it). The center pin can be teased up higher in order for it to make contact with his juice attachments. Only a couple of milimeter adjustment should do the trick. Also check the center pin of the juice attachment. It should be of equal length of its outer ring; if too short it may need to be dropped down longer.
