I was wondering if anyone has tried out the iClear 10s on either of these devices?

The MVP 2.0 will usually fire the 10s, but sometimes it won't, and the MVP won't fire them at all.

I have a bunch of them and replacement heads, but a lot of them are hit and miss. I'm not sure if it's the threading where the 10s screws into the MVP or the center pin not touching?

Also will the MVP 1 not fire the 10s because it is a VV/VW?, or is it just not hitting the center pin?

Probably not getting contact with the pin. innokin APVs have 510 center pins deeper than most others. It's been awhile, bit as I recall - .162" was the average depth I (and others) measured over 12 APVs. Other makes tend to be .005"~.010" shallower.

As a permanent fix, I've filed the 510 collar (and beauty ring) down .010" on (several of) mine. It's brass, so it "cuts" quickly.

Haven't tried the 10's, but am loving the 16's. I was in a vape shop recently, and all their tester juices were in tanks with 1.4ohm coils. You just put it on and snapped in your own drip tip to test out the flavours. My MVP wouldn't make a connection, I thought maybe the ohm load might be too low at first. The guy at the counter just took a small flathead and wiggle the moving post on the battery up a little. Viola! Worked like a charm.

From what I can find, the 10's are 2ohm resistance, they should be working! Maybe defective?

Thanks for the tip, it is the center pin.

I put a small piece of foil on top of the center pin and it is working great now.

I really wish there was a fix for the pressure on the MVP 2 fire button, it's like night and day difference between the models. I have no clue why they made it so hard of a press.

Is there any way to raise the center pin?

the pin is surrounded by a rubber cushion. It sometimes gets pushed down to the point where it won't spring back up, a small flat tip screwdriver will squish the rubber back under the pin lifting it to the default position.

ahh, ok. The 510 connector on the mvp seems to sit a hair higher than the mvp 2, was wondering if it was possible to pull the center pin up a little higher than the default position.

Ah, you do know how utterly crazy that sounds... right?

You can try it... but as the amount and the pressure applied is all you... if you break it, it's all you too. ;-)

That's why I was asking, before I turned it into only a battery charger.

You don't need much pressure at all just make sure its turned off before you mess with it. And no foil in the well its an easy way to short your battery cause the mvp to stop working or in the worst case scenario explode and take your face with it. There's a reason you don't stick pennies in the fuse box.

It has auto short circuit protection, it will automatically shut down before any such thing happens. The foil was actually touching the well and center pin at first and it would not fire, instead flashing a LED light to let you know there is a short.

Fuse boxes also have short circuit protection with break switches.
