I think they are both newbie friendly. I have 2 iSticks, they are great. Very small size which I like! They have more power than the MVP and are a little cheaper. They both can have 510 connection issues, have to pry the pin up occasionaly to get a good connection. There is a new MVP3 coming out next month. It will have more power and other features but I think they will cost more than the iStick and MVP2. Vape on Jman. :2cool:

I have both, and I much prefer the MVP. Both are beginner friendly.

The MVP is rock solid and has been a proven performer in the long term. The only issue I have had with mine is that the center pin gets pushed down and needs to be pried back up. If you have the patience, Innokin will be releasing version 3 by the end of the year. They will have several variations, but they will all be an improvement over the 2.0, including a spring-loaded 510 connector which solved my only problem with mine. It will also have a larger battery, an improved fire button, and the charge port will be on the side. Innokin will try to keep the price low, as that has been one of the main reasons for the success of the version 2.0. If you think the V2.0 is good enough, 101Vape is still the best place to buy - Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

The iStick form factor is fantastic, but there are way too many problems with it for me to recommend it. Inconsistent power throughout the charge cycle, incorrect power regulation, threads that wear quickly or destroy the threads on your atty/clearo, and generally bad build quality. I have relegated my iStick to use only with certain clearos and only with the adapter attached, and when it dies, I will not be buying another. IMHO the idea behind the iStick is great, but the execution leaves much to be desired. Probably why eLeaf is already working on a version 2, which they are planning on releasing in early to mid 2015. Then again, the iStick still has a dedicated following of people who are happy with theirs, so take my gripes with a grain of salt. They're both good choices I think!

iStick is "all the rage" lately, but I might lean towards an MVP if it were me, just because it's been around for a really long while (in "vape-gear-years") and STILL gets good feedback. We don't yet know how the iStick holds up over time really - heard a few issues with the threads, and with power accuracy (then again, also a lot of people who love it).

Another consideration - what "topper" do you want to put on it? iStick is so small, that some big atomizers might look goofy on it.

I am not following you around, LOL (this is 2 threads in a row where I posted a response basically agreeing with yours - this one, you just finished typing first!)

I've given an MVP after week one of the iStick, to my daughter (who previously used a GUS and is so glad to not be swapping batteries she's not put it down) and there's a new istick on the table here waiting on her to come get her Craft Vapery monthly box. She's a convert ...

the MVP is a solid vv/ww beginner vape, sturdy, reliable, the charge last forever, the only difference is my istick's lighter and smaller, and hotter.

I love my iSticks, I've not touched the MVP since I got it..fits in my hand I never have it far away..and lasts ALL day and then some on a charge.

I don't have an iStick, but I have 3 MVPs. The one thing holding me back from the iStick is the reports of inconsistent power. A lot of folks are reporting that vaping at lower wattages is a lot hotter than the same wattage on the MVP. You can only go down to about 1 ohm on either, but if you're running a Nautilus, folks say it's AMAZING.

There will always be pros/cons no matter what device you pick. If you don't need > 11 watts while vaping, the MVP is a pretty solid mod.

I have two MVPs and no iSticks. The reason I chose to get another MVP instead of an iStick is because the MVP is in its second version meaning bugs have been discovered and fixed, where as the iStick is new and bugs are just now being discovered. Also if you wait a while, the MVP 3 is suppose to be available soon. I got my last MVP for $35 and I'm sure as soon as the third version comes out there will be clearance sales on the MVP 2 that will probably bring the price down to that of the iStick.
