Ok so I have been vaping on joyetech 1000 mah batteries and Iclear 16 / evods for a few weeks and looking to upgrade. Both the MVP kit and the SVD kit have caught my eye. I am wanting to know what kind of opinions there are on them out there.

BTW I need a rig that will last 10 - 14 hours at a time.

It really depends on what you need and like. If you prefer a tube-shaped, traditional vv/vw mod with replaceable batteries, and higher voltage/wattage range, the SVD is what you want; SVD's voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 – 6.0 volts in .1 volt increments.and wattage can be adjusted from 3.0 – 15.0 W in .5W increments.

MVP comes with a proprietary, built-in battery with a insane 2600 mAh capacity, voltage--up to 5v. wattage-up to 11W. And the MVP is box shaped. And it can be had for 40 bucks right now from 101 Vape.

They are both great mods, but the MVP seems to be more popular.

Having compared them directly, it's really hard to go wrong with either. The each work just as well as the other in my experience.

SVD has a higher price-of-entry though since you'll also need a decent battery or two and a charger to go with them. If you don't already have them, it might make more sense to get an MVP. You'll also get 10-14 hours out of an MVP more easily than with an SVD.

I think I am going to go with the MVP, 101vape has a really good deal on the MVPs right now. I can get 2 of them for less than the total cost of SVD + batteries and charger. I can then give the second one to my son for Xmas (he is using a second hand e-roll atm).
Then save up for an SVD or Provari :)

I don't have advice, but I'm following this thread so I can see the answers. I'm currently in the same boat, and have been thinking about buying the MVP 2 for $40 - such a good deal! :D

TXCherry, at $40 for the MVP 2, I don't think you can go wrong. If it turns out to be awful (highly doubtful), for the cost, you can give it away or trash it and not lose a lot in the process.

FearTX, The biggest thing with the MVP 2 will be the box shape, it does take some getting used to if you currently use a tube shaped battery. I just got the VTR and I am finding it difficult to figure out the most comfortable way to hold it. If you can deal with that, the MVP 2 is probably the best thing going right now. LOTS of folks love their MVPs!

I just ordered the MVPs after doing some research I have come to the decision that the MVP deal from 101vape.com right now is PHENOMENAL!

I am already trying to forecast some overtime and or extra work to fund the next purchase in a month or so... SVD or PROVARI ZOMBIE EDITION! :p

Bit the bullet and bought the MVP2. Now to stalk the mail man....

;)

Excellent choice! I bet, like me, you will be surprised how small it really is and how solidly built. I was amazed that it stands about a 1/4 of an inch shorter than my 1300 Vision Spinner. I can almost hide it in my hand! Also the battery life is just as amazing as everyone says! I took over 1,000 puffs (according to the counter) before the light turned yellow! I've had it for 6 days and have only needed to charge it once!

Congrats!

Oh and if you haven't taken a minute and joined CASAA, check em out! (see my banner below!)

I was in the same boat before, but went with the SVD. I held the MVP in a store, and didn't like the form-factor as much, nor the amount of pressure needed to actuate the fire button. Also, I liked the removable battery of the SVD, and they do have goo capacity on rechargeables. I ordered the express kit from overseas, so got it for under $40. Batteries did run me $20 though, plus $15 or so for a good charger.

I've heard great things about the MVP, though, so you can't go wrong. Enjoy your vape. PEACE.
