MVP V2 battery charge

Is it important to let the battery drain before recharging? I'm on the road traveling and near an outlet and in the yellow...don't want to "get caught with my pants down" and was thinking of topping off the charge...does it really matter?

It is bad to drain the battery all the way on a mvp. Top it off it will last longer. Rarely I will ever get into the yellow. I charge mine every other night.

NO- charge as often as you like. You may top it off at any time without fear of battery longevity.

The MVP2 battery has no memory so it won't hurt it to charge it before it's too low. I personally charge it every night regardless of how low it is ... in my experience ... once it hits yellow, it's a REAL Short time before it hits red and is off. So I personally would charge it

When you're at yellow, you don't have a whole lot left before it goes red and won't fire. I'd charge it ASAP

Ill echo the above posters. The battery does best when charged frequently so you get longer life out of the device by charging it often.

So charge it and enjoy for another day or three

Lithium ions don't have "memory" effects like the old nickel-cadmimum. You can "top off" as needed. In fact, just use your battery to suit what you need. There are control chips in modern vapor devices and chargers (and some batteries even) that deal with the ins and outs of charges. Like Li-ion batteries can be damaged by being fully discharged so your device won't let you do that. They'll blink red at you to indicate they need a charge and shut off.

The only folks who have to worry about their batteries are the hobbyist types who do "mech" type mods. They have to manually manage their batteries. The rest of us have devices with small chips in them that are programmed to manage the batteries for us and you don't have to think much about it.

Well, except things like don't leave your batteries in a hot car in summer. That's just asking for trouble!

I always charged mine once a day just in case I needed to take off outta the house and not know how long I'd be gone. It never hurt it and it's a year old.
