Sorry, I couldn't find the MVP v2 in the mod specific section.

Just got my MVP v2 a couple hours ago, already in love! I'm getting to where I'm playing with the volts or watts or ohms or whatever, and I really don't know what I'm doing lol. When I change stuff the letters 'P' or 'U' come up with a number. I don't know what's what though, I've just been playing with it then going back to the factory settings. I'm using the iClear 16s that came with it and would like to hear some suggestions on what to leave the settings at. I also have a CE4 that I tried on it just to see if it worked, any setting suggestions for it?

Hey Ironmonkey, quick rundown here for ya on the MVP 2 settings;

P = Wattage mode, goes from 6-11w in increments of .5
U = Voltage mode, goes from 3.3-5v in .1 increments

When you press and hold either button the first item displayed P ## is the number of puffs since the last time it's been turned off. After depending on which button you held(p/u) it will display the current wattage/voltage setting, while the voltage/wattage setting is up another press of the same button will change the setting. If you press and hold both buttons you will be given 2 sets of numbers, first one is the resistance of the attached coils, second number is the current charge in the battery.

You cant have voltage/wattage settings set at the same time, the unit will default to the last setting you made. I prefer using wattage mode as I can set it and the MVP will adjust the voltage based on the resistance of the attached coil.

Hope that helps out somewhat and isn't too disjointed. Enjoy the MVP.

Howdy, and welcome!

The two buttons as you face them: right controls the Wattage; left controls Voltage. When you push the two buttons together, you get the resistance reading of the coil that's installed. If you get "non", then you either don't have a coil, or it's not screwed on tightly enough to make a reading (DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN - just nudge it little by little)

If you hold the Right button down, you'll get a puff-count, and then what the current wattage setting is. Keep clicking as you cycle through from 6.0 to 11.0 (in 0.5W increments) Once you get to 11.0, one more click will take you back to 6.0 to start over.

If you hold the Left button down, you'll get a puff-count, and then what the current voltage setting is. Keep clicking the left button to cycle through voltage (3.3 to 5.0 in 0.1V increments)

Whichever setting you do last is the current setting of the device. I tend to set the Power setting (Watts) so it's less relevant what resistance coil I have going. The device will adjust the VOLTAGE, based on the equation Power (Wattage) = Volt x Volt / Resistance. If you keep Power constant, then voltage changes based on resistance. If you keep Voltage constant, then Power fluctuates based on resistance.

Not sure what the resistance of the CE4's is - typically 2.0-2.5 ohms, I'd guess. I like my power setting around 7.0 - 7.5. Anything much higher tends to start burning my juice. There's another "rule of thumb" (I don't remember the link), but if you set voltage, you can safely run about 2 volts higher than your coil ohms. (e.g. 2.1 ohm coil + 2 = 4.1 volts)

I would suggest starting low, and nudging up until you find something satisfying. I tend to run with single-coil heads - YMMV

I read somewhere 4.1-4.3 was a good range for volts. I'm not sure about the watts yet. Just so I understand correctly, changing the volts will automatically change the watts as well, and vice verse?

I just took a 4.3v 10w vape, gotta say best vape to date!

Being that I changed the watts last I was taking a 10w hit and the 4.3v is mute... is that how this works?

When you set the wattage on the MVP it will auto calculate the voltage based on the resistance of the coil. Voltage you will need to switch manually depending on the resistance on the coil. The wattage setting is a set it and forget it. Tho if you do find you're getting a burnt taste using wattage mode you can adjust it for the juice.

Hey! I just got one today as well and I'm 100% in love with it. I like the shape...now a days everything looks like a lightsaber, plus it feels great in my hand. I too was a bit concerned with the non replaceable part of the battery but just like a cellphone if you take great care to charge it properly (and with this things built in security features) it should last quite sometime before needing replacing. I have an aspire nautilus tank attached and I'm vaping at 9.5 watts on a 1.6 atty (the device reads it at 1.7 resistance though), on the 3rd airflow setting on the tank (I like tight lung hits), And I'm blown away every hit I take. I guess its a welcome to the iTaste MVP v2 club for us both.
