I've had my MVP2 for about a year. Recently the button seems to be tighter when pressing and isn't 'loose fitting' in the socket anymore. This doesn't bother me except sometimes it doesn't work when I press it. I'd have to either press again or shut it off and on to get to work again. Has anyone had this happen to them and hopefully a fix?

Check out the MVP owners forum for suggestions , man if i got a good year out of my MVP's i will be thrilled , thats a long lifespan , time to get another.

Strike that. I just checked and it's been 9 months. I got 2 of them at that time and the other is working like the day I got it. Just the charge lasts about a day and a half and not 3 days like when they were new.

Sorry to hear of your MVP troubles, if the button completely fails, you may try opening the unit up and seeing if you can reseat/do anything about the button (maybe even try to replace it).

Look on the bright side, you got 9 months out of it, and based on the cost of replacement (~$40) your MVP cost you about $0.14 a day.

Best of luck!

Thanks for everyone's advice. I removed the button's bezel and found that the switch itself is worn. Bummer..I guess I'll need to get another MVP2 or 2 :)

Tip for anyone that wants to remove the bezel on the switch. Use a small screwdriver (I do mean small pocket type) and gently insert the tool with a stab motion at about a 30-35 degree angle. Attack the top part of the bezel and it will pop right off with a slight flick of the screw driver. Careful you don't go too far in. Hold the blade of the screw driver a few millimeters up so you don't push in too far and destroy the board below the switch.
