MVP2 has gone to hell ( 888 1E1 ERROR)

So after only a few short weeks (a little over a month) my brand new shiny MVP2 has popped its clogs, i have no freaking clue what happened it just went from regular vapeing to sudden power off and when i went to charge it (thinking it was simply out of power) it showed up the 888 and 1E1 error on the screen.

Now oddly it does work when plugged in to a USB but without a constant power supply it is perhaps 2-3 puffs before it simply stops working.

Present set up is
-MVP2
-iClear 30 S

Attempted fixes thus far:

1. a full discharge and recharge from red - Nope still 888's after 3(ish) puffs
2. different tank/attomiser - same error no change

I REALLY dont want to give up on this mod as it is without a doubt one of the best devices i have ever vaped and to be honest my first "proper" mod and sadly being a UK resident and purchasing it from ebay im kinda at a loss as to taking to back to the vendor.

Does anyone have a s solution to this very frustrating issue?

Thanks for all the advice chaps although i was praying for a quick fix (hard reset or pop it open and disconnect the battery etc.) I have taken your combined advice and contacted both the vendor (no reply as yet) and innokin (who requested pics of the issue and are yet to get back since) and am crossing my fingers for the best.

As for now im back on my e-Go and frankly loathing it in comparison but sadly i cant afford to throw good money after bad and so i will have to wait until innokin or the vendor get back to me.

ok so after some significant debate with my ebay vendor and absolutely no help what so ever from Innokin i opted to request a refund and in the meantime i decided to switch it up a little...

as i was somewhat stuck with my e-GO twist as my only other functional mod (or steal the missus MVP lol) i though i'd go for a mech mod in the form of a Meraxus v2 (DNA variant) and a shiny new Omega RDA with a 1.0om microcoil build with a 18650 4200mAh battery

gotta say mech mods are a significant change but WOW what a vape!

i will ofc keep you up to date on the MVP situation as soon as i get more info

Glad to hear you are happy, BUT STOP!! That battery is NOT a high drain IMR! It's a protected battery, and should not be used in any mod... I saw in your review that it is a UltraFire BRC 18650 4200mAh. It's rated at 3 amps, and you are drawing 4,2 amps with your current build!! So PLEASE put that battery in a drawer and buy some decent High Drain IMR Batteries!

I've never seen any error messages on my MVP2. Do you have any other tanks to try? What is the Ohm reading of your iClear 30 s?

Innokin MVP II has a built in battery, we can't do anything to change it, well not without specialised tools and I suspect knowledge. :D

tried on everything from a mini and vivi nova to some basic ec5's to see if it was a clero issue but when i contacted innokin they told me it is an oddity but recognized by there system as a factory issue.

roughly 1-1000 MVP2's can develop the issue

Warning signs:

- reduced battery life
- increased resistance from similar clero's that alter without notice
- seemingly rapid charging cycles through colour changes to off in less than an hour
- flash warnings on screen 888 IEI

effectivly its a battery failure, nothing more than that but since you cant swap it out the unit is a bust. Return to sender demand a refund. this is WHY innokin offer a 90 day return policy on the MVP. Again its odd that they have no reason behind the failure, it just seems some simply fail to function and die after a few weeks of normal use.

Ok wow thanks for that (last time i listen to a vendor...) I'll nip off and buy some with the next pay cheque.

again thankyou for the advice and warning.
