my boss can barely tie his own shoes.. I am worried that if I check box it will make a cookie or something that the guy who is the admin for all the comp in the company will see when he does whatever he does..
Dan,
I believe that the Remember Me thing is local to IE (any corrections are welcomed!!!). I'd have to say that you're prolly getting all kinds of cookies from ECF (if ECF loads them), whether you check that box or not. You're logged in to ECF either way. If you're worried about Cookies, then you can clear them. There are several ways to do this. A very easy way is to install CCleaner - a free Windows program that can do several things to speed up your PC, including deleting the Temporary Internet Files for you. Seeing that it's a Company Computer, and Companies quite often don't want you to install programs, you can open the Browser Settings to delete them. You can Google how to do it for your particular Browser. It easy, quick, and painless.
For IE, you can do it through Control Panel, under Internet Options. This is a great way to do it, because IE can be Closed. However, the way I do it is by creating a Shortcut to the Temporary Internet Files folder. I click that link, and the folder opens. You can do this with IE Open or Closed. If IE is Open, then Refresh the Windows Explorer page, then Select All, and then Delete everything. Sometimes everything cannot be deleted (at least not with Select All), especially if IE is still open. In this case, I click on the things that are still there, individually, and delete them, one at a time. Anything that cannot be deleted is probably still in use, so move until until you get all you can. If IE is Closed, you can usually delEverythinghing!!!
This technique should work well for Any Browser... you just have to find where the Temporary Internet Files folder is on your PC. It's different for IE in each version of Windows, and also different for each Browser... IE, FF, Safari, Chrome, etc. If you don't delete them, they are still there. Even if you have the option set to Empty the Temporary Internet Files folder when IE closes, many of them will still be there (don't ask me Why!!!), so it's good to do it manually.
I've cleared my Cookies this way, with IE Open while logged in to ECF, and not been logged Off, so I don't think Remember Me is a Cookie thing.
You could ask the question in Ask the Verterans...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ask-veterans/
Read the Rules before you post your question. Then, be specific about Why you're asking, what your OS is (which version of Windows), what your Browser is (and which version), etc. The more details you give, the better they can answer your question.
Then please let us know what you learn.
