How I Found The Joye eGo
After smoking 2 packs of analog cigarettes a day for over 40 years, I had open-heart surgery and was left with 1/3 of a heart. Of course I quit smoking but, nicotine gum and lozenges really never made up for the loss of my very favorite (albeit unhealthy) habit. I quit analogs for a year but, was up to 32mg of nicotine (8 - 4mg lozenges per day) when I heard about ecigarettes.

After an initial bad experience with "SmokingStick" (some place in Florida not the reputable SmokingStik) I discovered ECF and quickly got an education. I then checked out LitecigUSA and after
some wise advice from Shawn (the owner) decided on the $54.95 Joye eGo starter kit with the 30mg USA tobacco flavor (11mg nicotine) e-juice.

WOW! What a feeling! I can't be begin to describe the massive relief it was to be able to "smoke" again. Suffice to say that I never wanted to quit smoking, but due to the harm it was causing me... I had no choice. Now my life seemed to start up again and I began to realize just how much I had missed smoking and how much more I could now enjoy life. Wish this technology was around 40 years ago.

With 0 practical experience with vaping, after recieving my eGo I immediately started toking. I soon
discovered that not much was happening (low vapor, weird taste, etc.) ! I called my mentor Shawn and he explaned to me that the atomizer probably needed to be cleared of the packing fluid it was shipped with. He told me to keep puffing for a while and all would be well. Of course he was correct! After about a half-hour, massive plumes of vapor began to appear and my journey to vapemania truly began.

I purchased the stainless steel model because I thought it looked like a mini light sabre and it matched my kitchen (go figure). The eGo is extremely easy to assemble and maintain. The two 650mAh batteries lasted me for a full day and evening only recharging one during that time. I vape pretty heavily too.

After about a week, I noticed that I was filling my small cartridges many more times than I would like
and gave Shawn a call again. He recommended I get the MEGA atomizer and MEGA blank cartridges
which I did. Wow again and what a difference! Not only did it make the unit look much more like a light sabre but it more than quadrupled my vaping time between refills. This was more like it!

After perusing ECF extensively to find out what vapers using other types of e-cigs experienced, I feel the Joye eGo is the best unit to make the transition from tobacco to vaping. I've had it for over a month and the batteries, atomizer and cartridges are working fine with no problems. However, if I had it to do over again, I would have avoided the starter kit entirely and bought:

2 - Joye eGo MEGA Batteries (900mAh)
2 - Joye eGo MEGA Atomizers
2 - Joye eGo MEGA Blank Cartridges
1 - Joye eGo Charger unit (w/USB)

For a little over $26 more than the standard eGo starter kit (at LiteCigUSA), it is well worth the extra initial investment.

There is a plethora of E-juice flavors and suppliers all over the web. Since e-juice is so individual in nature (flavor, nicotine strength and quanity) and evolves over time, you need to try out a few e-juice flavor samples to find out what's best for you. I have settled (for now) on chocolate as I'm diabetic and can't have the real thing. But, to each their own.

A couple of tips for eGo users: Make sure you get genuine Joytech eGo units as they are apparently the best quality of this type of personal vaporizers. Remember the initial experience with the new atomizer (be patient). Also, watch out for static electricity buildup when you touch the recharging unit. I blew out a charger (which Shawn quickly replaced at no charge) because I wore shoes on my carpet before touching the recharger unit.

Vape on!

I got my Ego about a month ago replacing my DSE901. It's awesome, plenty of vapor, full flavors and long batt life. I have two 650Mah batts too and they work amazing as you wrote one lasts nearly a full day. I'm a heavy vaping all day but still my batts get they work done so well without fussing around with the rechargers and carrying loads of spare batts like I did with my 901.
I bought it in a kit so the first few drags were vaporless with funny taste but it's gone quickly and now it's much enjoyable. Great PV I'm so happy with it:p

I didn't know about ECF when I started vaping, so ended up with a 510 clone. A month ago I got the Joye eGo mega kit, with mega attys and mega carts. And extra batteries - since I had been going through about 8 510 batteries in a typical day. I was surprised as hell when the eGo 900 mah battery lasted an entire day! Love it!

I agree! I started with a Blu and the batteries on that lasted about 1-2 hours! Imagine my delight with my eGo battery lasting a full day! One year analog free as of today :)

Love mine too. Only been a couple weeks and this was a model recommended by a friend who's deep into vaping. Did a lot of reading on the websites and glad I went with one. There's an eGo Owners/Users group on this forum. Check it out, they don't have too many members considering how many folks really seem to like this model.

I love my Joye eGo also. I like it best with the mega atty and carts. But have killed two of the mega attys by normal cleaning methods and haven't found an atty cleaning method that works for the mega attys. Any suggestions? I tried the alcohol (vodka) cleaning method on one and it killed it. Tried the boiling water method on on. Both are completely dead - so very interested in how to clean them!

I find the Janty XL ego Cartomizer to be a fantastic out of house vape set up.

Am only on my first fill of my first one but have been hitting it all day and it's pretty good. No dead hits, no burn taste, no foul hits etc.

Not as flavorful as dripping or ego-t (about 10% less flavor than tank set up) but better than either for a day out of the house as the tanks leak a little when you carry them around and it's a 3 piece set up compared with the compactness of the XL carto (holds 1.8ml.)

It sounds like Shawn gave you some very practical advice and it's working out well for you. While I completely agree that the eGo will provide you with the satisfaction that is craved as a new vapor, I think MOST new vapers have an IDEA of their priorities, without realizing what will become important to them down the road (IE a month later!). That's exactly why I started with the XHALE02 from 7Eleven, then moved to the m401, and only THEN did I get an eGo. Obviously, I never looked back since then!

I think part of the problem is that most new converts don't have the time or desire to peruse these forums for hours on end BEFORE making that initial purchase. I wrote up a nice article on the site about this very thing: http://www.ecigology.com/what-is-the-best-e-cig/

It was written with newbies in mind and from the perspective of avoiding blowing a bunch of money on lesser qualities e-cigs at the beginning.
