Ok..... First I want to say thank you! I went with the Joye 510 (Manual) and I had to get the joye eGo from Liberty Flights. I live in San Diego and when I saw that they were a few miles from me I stopped by. Very nice people there. I walked out with two kits some extra atomizers and extra cartridges. I got the PCC for the eGo too. He said they just got them in and I they looked really cool - It will hold two eGo's charge 1 and hold some juice too! I can't wait to show it off.

Questions for initial charge and what did everyone do!

The directions for the 510 says to charge for 5 hours. vape for 20 minutes and then charge for another 1 hour.

The eGo jsut said to charge it. Should I charge the eGo as I am doing with the 510. I will wait for some answers. I do not want to ruin the batteries!

The PCC for the eGo says to charge for 5 hours.

I will let you all know what I think of both tomorrow after they are charged!

Thank you all. PLEASE help me with your thoughts on the 1st charging!

I have a Tornado with a 650 mAh battery and I am unclear as to if it is an ego or a 510, but I charged both batteries as soon as I got them before I vaped. There should be a light on the charger that will change from red to green when the battery is fully charged. After that I was vaping. I don't know about a PCC since I don't have one but again it should have some sort of way to tell you when it is fully charged.

So far as I know, all of these batteries (PV's and PCC's) are Lithium Ion. The "charge for a really long time on the first charge" recommendations are a hold-over from old, no-longer-used styles of rechargeable batteries. Those older batteries had a sort of "charge memory", so the initial 5-8 hour charge was to condition the batteries so you could get the most use out of them. Lithium Ion batteries have NO MEMORY whatsoever, thus that initial 8 hour charge is not required.

Most batteries come from the suppliers with most of a charge anyway, so as soon as you get it, you can vape. Moreover, being that these batteries are coming from the suppliers with a partial charge, someone must have charged them. So you charging it as soon as you get it wouldn't even be the battery's first charge to begin with. LOTS of information on batteries in general, and on Lithium Ion batteries in particular can be found here -> Battery University.

Short answer: No, you don't have to charge the eGo battery any differently than you charge the 510. AND you don't have to wait any specific timeframe before you start vaping on it! :D

Go to liberty-flights[dot]com scroll to bottom. click "contact us"

Liberty Flights: 2667 Camino Del Rio S. suite# 202 San Diego, CA. 92108. you can use there computer to get the internet prices.................... I just typed a response twice to you. that was long and both got deleted when submitted? so I am going to make this one a little shorter.

Stick with the Joye. I am very happy with it. I walked out with the joye 510 and joye eGo with the eGo PCC... Juice from Vaporrenu. 2 day delivery and very good prices. I went with big red and 555... To find out about taste of juices youtube helped me out. I found vaporninja by accident. The guy is funny and led me to vaporrenu. The big red taste like the gum. Exactly like the gum and I just vaped it after a big lunch. It's almost as if I just had an after dinner mint.

I live in Oceanside.
