Hello everyone! My name is Brittney Jay and I got my new device today and I really like it so far! I'm just have trouble with inhaling? I don't know why, but for some reason I think I am just swallowing the smoke??? I have tried to hit it slowly but then I don't see any smoke??? I'm not looking to blow big clouds of smoke just some advice on how not to eat the vapor! :) I feel like I will get a good drag and there's some vapor but then when I cough there is nothing. Also do I hold down the botton the whole time while I am inhaling? And I would also like to add that I don't know much at all about my device, it was a gift. One more thing, why is it making me cough?

First make sure that you are not getting dry hits and actually trying to inhale the vapor.
If you are an ex smoker, coughing is normal, PG will irritate the throat a bit, but for ex smokers, the irritation is too much at first but will go away once your throat is healed and mucus comes back to coat it. I had the same issues for a week or so.
Just make sure that it is not a nasty dry hit, burn taste.

Try mouth to lung hits for now.

Yes hold down the fireing button during inhalation.

Welcome to vaping and ECF.

Hi.
Yes, hold the button the entire time or release a short moment before you finish inhaling.
Guessing you have the regular Subvod, it's a quite a powerful device compared to basic ecigs. It vapes at about 22 watts and makes more vapor than cigarette makes smoke.
A gas station disposable vapes at 3-4 watts. An ego vapes at 6-8 watts. I coughed for 2 months on a 7 watt device.
Not everybody can cope with the vapor straight off. Reducing nicotine and using higher VG helps a lot. People who start on 20+ watts often say "ooh, what a great beginners device". I disagree, 20 watts is not where I would have been able even start vaping.
Anyway, lower your nicotine and work on light inhales. I would shut the airflow down to barely open and practice your mouth inhale, then mouth to lung then open up that great tank and call it 'job done'
:)

It's not "smoke"... lol

Anyway, did you smoke cigarettes before you started vaping? That's a subohm setup so your nicotine level should be low as in 6mg or lower. Hold the fire button in and do a slow and easy pull on it.
