Let me first start by giving some back ground then I several questions for the long time users.

About a year and a half ago I read the ad for Green Smoke. Ordered one and was very disappointed with taste, TH and Vapor. Needless to say I did not stop smoking. After doing a little more research (before I knew about this web site) I again got hooked by V2 Cig. Guess what .......... great vapor, not a bad taste and good throat hit. I am now 45 days witout a analog and don't want one, but................................ I have now progressed to a eGo, 2.0 boge carts and am still searching for that elusive flavor. Tried several different eliquids can't seem to find one that give you the flavor as advertised. Most have a after taste, some have no flavor, some are just no good at all. Got some from Velvet Vapors and these are getting closer. Good throat hit, good flavor, good vapor.

So first question. After doing this now for a short time and with out spending a small fortune I am looking for the best of the best e-liquids. Yes I know taste is subjective. WANT NEED GOT TO HAVE FLAVOR THROAT HIT AND VAPOR!!!!!

Problem #2 I now find myself Vapping more than I did smoking. Is this normal??? I used to smoke a pack a day now using 12 to 18 nicotine in liquid. Not sure if I want to go higher. Would much prefer to go lower!!!! Hope to get to 0.

Problem #3 I have to keep adding juice to the cato every 20 min or so. Is this normal???? Looked at the tank system but I work outside and just not sure a tank system would hold up in the pocket all day without leaking.

For anyone else that is trying to quit THIS WORKS. I am 60 years old and have smoked my whole life. Tried the patch, gum, patch with the gum, patch gum and a cig (that was bad). In other word I tried everything and this is the first item that has even come close for me. Just to be able to go a day without a cig was almost impossible. 45 days you have got to be kidding. I still can not beleive it myself. The wife really loves it.

Ego and a Boge--Good match, I'm still on it after a year.

Juices? I gave up early and went for unflavored, That's usually a fun adventure for some folk.

I use a tank from here-http://momandpopvaporshop.com/tanks/ And they hold up in my pocket all day.

Tom,

The perfect fit for you would be a variable voltage pv. With variable voltage, you can use standard resistance cartos inside tanks with a higher ohm rating, affording a higher quality taste and throat hit. The optimium vape sweet spot for many is between 7 to 9 amps (think power). Smaller fixed voltage batteries using a LR (low resitance) carto like the Boge 2.0 simulates higher voltage vaping but it is not the same.

Each juice will respond uniquely to a particular voltage. Some hit their sweet spot @ 4.7 volts, some @ 4.2, some at 5.3. Using a pv that allows one to tweak the voltage based on the atomizer/cartomizer, etc. in conjunction with juices (and mixture of PG/VG) will provide you with vaping not yet experienced.

Higher nic levels will provide a stronger TH as well as more PG than VG. 100% PG is strongest. With a VV pv you may find that 18mg nic levels will be more than sufficient.

Unflavored is slightly sweet naturally from the PG and/or VG, but has no distinct flavor. I use it quite often when I get tired of flavors or when my taste buds aren't up to par (no point in wasting good juice when I can't taste it)

I make my own really cheaply as I get high strength unflavored nicotine in PG and cut it with VG to my desired nic strength.

It's a good back up to have if you run low on other flavors as well.

I will give the unflavor a try.
As for the VV and setting voltage to a certain flavor not sure I am in to that. Right now I just want to kick a very bad habit and am looking for the most convenient way to get this done.

If you go unflavored, sniff the nic base when you get it, if it smells like anything- that smell will build up in your cartos- not good.

My best supplier after many orders is: E-Liquid - One Stop DIY Shop Store. It doesn't hurt to add a couple of drops of some flavor sometimes, like coffee or vanilla.

Thanks for some of the answers. I will try the unflavor. I think however there are a lot of me's out there trying this as a solution to quitting the nasty cigs. I think for myself it will work but I am not sure I want nor do I have the time to become a chemist or a gourmet liquid chef. I would like to find a vendor who makes a good liquid with geat taste ect without spending hours time and money searching them out. I am now hooked on the ecig and maybe this is all part of the process to quit. HOURS AND HOURS OF RESEARCH!!!!

Hi Tommy & Welcome to ECF! Couple of suggestions that might be of interest. Here's an outstanding deal on unflavored nicotine base: DIY PG Unflavored 36mg Nic Base 120ml You'll note that this is 36mg nic PG base so you'll want to cut it with VG to your desired nic level. I buy VG in the skin care section at Walmart; it's labeled "GLYCERIN", USP, made by Humco and a 6 oz. bottle was about $3.40. Alternately, you can get it from Good Prophets with the above order, just a bit more expensive.

As for cartos, you might want to try Smoktech LR XXL or Mega cartos. I like Crystal Clear Vaping's Resurrector 1.7 ohm which may (or may not) be made by Smoktech) but just checked & CCV is currently out of stock. These hold almost twice as much juice as a Boge.

Once you try the unflavored nic option if it doesn't suit you there are a number of flavoring producers & vendors so you can make this stuff taste like just about anything you like. Take a look at the DIY forum & you'll see... the sky's pretty much the limit on flavors!

To to Madvapes and order some eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers, aka EMDCC. They hold enough liquid to keep you from having to top off every 20 minutes. They are also low resistance, so they provide a good hit and vapor.
