tried this out last night on my mega eGo atty and it worked great! thought it was the cart that was the problem for drop off in performance but this certainly helped out!

my question is if this will effectively reduce the life of an atty? it seems like it's a lot of "strain" on it? also I've read elsewhere not to run water through it and soaking is better? and not to use HV or to use this method on a LR atty because it will pop the atty (or at least a greater chance), and that the pulse method is not so good either as that will risk popping. Is there any tweaks to this method? there hasn't been any updates at least from the first post since February....

good to know... I'm sure there will always be some confrontational material (running water through it vs soaking etc...) out there against this, but from what I can see in this thread (I actually went through all 27 pages) the success rate is amazing. Just not much info with the LR attys and with HV batteries. I guess if all I really need to worry about is to watch the glow then I should be ok?

Should the whole coil glow? On my 901 only the sides were orange, and I didn't want to try to heat up the whole coil and possibly blow it
I don't have a 901 but assume they are similar enough to the 510s...

The whole coil should glow, but you'll probably only see the sides glowing because the atomizer bridge is in the way. I know I can only see the sides when I'm dry burning my 510 atomizer anyway.

Conventional wisdom has always been to rinse or blow out an atomizer from the battery end.
The idea is that if there are any loose pieces of anything in the atomizer then they might clog the little holes.

I've never seen any loose pieces of anything when blowing out my atomizers, so I blow from the cartridge end because it works better.
But when I am dry burning I do rinse from the battery end first, just in case, but then turn it around and rinse from the cartridge end.

Thanks for the tip. I recently bought the Riva with LR atty's. The LR atty's were losing steam in less than a week. I thought that would be the norm, but I used this method last night and they are vaping like new again. I guess the LR atty's tend to get gunked up faster especially with the constant voltage of the Riva. Good news that I just saved about $50.00 worth of attomizers.

I tried this and it's still not producing any vapor/flavour. Have i done it wrong? I followed the steps, it's still glows orange, so I don't think it's dead. Should I try it again?
If it is glowing orange you are done cleaning it, and there is no need to do it again.
There is some other reason why you are getting no vapor or flavor.

You should start a new thread in the New Members section of this forum so people can help you.

sorry if this is a dumb question: by resurrecting do you mean from a "dead" atty or one that is just not working good?
I mean, one of my attys just stopped working after a couple weeks ... it gets zilch.
I think it's an lr 510, and i had used it on 5 volts a few times (about 10 vapes each time) but mostly lots of 3.7v.
Should i bother trying to "resurrect" the poor thing?
