I've had a smoktek Varicool box mod for a good two years. It's had a nice long life. The innards are still working fine but the battery box it's made out of is on it's last legs (do box mods have legs?) and it's only one more battery swap away from completely falling apart. The cover was shot a long time ago, as per typical. Now the top of the battery box, where the 510 connector is located, is starting to show stress cracks from those couple years of the pressure of cramming 14500's into a less than ideal size thingee not made for them.
So my box innards need a new home. Open to suggestions but I'd like to stick with the 14500 batteries since I have a pile of them. It could be anything, but just to warn you - people who suggest an Altoids tin will be preemptively shot.
Are there any better than average 3 AA battery boxes out there? I got one from Good Prophets and it's so lightweight I wouldn't even consider using it. If not another battery box... what? The creative part of me brains is hiding behind a head cold right now.
