Hello vapers!

First my background: I have been using an Ego-C for 2 months now with the last month using cartomizers instead of the tank system on my Ego-C batteries. This was a much better experience.

Now my Buzz Pro has just arrived. I have received:

- 1 x Buzz Pro red with chrome caps
- 2 x Powerizer batteries
- 1 x TrustFire charger
- 1 x M1A1 red tank
- 10 x Super Boge 510 cartomizers 3 Ohms

I have put the batteries in the charger. Now what do I do?

- How long does it take for the batteries to completely charge?
- When the batteries are charged do I see the LED color changing from red to green?
- How do I puncture the cartomizers?
- How do I fill in the tank?
- Do I have to fill first the cartomizer or just immerse the punctured cartomizer in the tank?
- I have some Joyetech VG liquids, as I have been using an Ego-C until now. Are these liquids okay? Some people suggested to use only clear liquids.
- How long usually a cartomizer last until replacing?

Any other suggestions are welcomed. I do not know how to use this device but I am eager to try it!

Thanks,
Codrut

Congrats on the new gear Codrut. I hear great things about the Buzz.

As to your questions

The batts should charge in 45 minutes or so and the light will turn green.
Grab yourself a saddle valve punch...It shouldn't cost more that $8 bucks at your local HomeLowesAce and watch a few videos. it's very simple.
The tank is exceptional. Just unscrew the black screw and use a syringe to fill juice in the hole. Super easy :)
Do a condom fill on your Carto the first time.
Use what you have juice wise, you might just want to "dry suck" the Carto every once in a while to keep wet.
I have found that my cartomizers are lasting 2ish weeks with the tank. Just make sure it's always wet.
And very important come say hi over here Notcigs
Welcome to the Buzz army

You have the nifty notcig Buzz Pro tank! Just unscrew the side screw, get a syringe...I hope you have a syringe? And fill the tank AFTER you put the carto in it. Stick the needle in the port hole and fill.

If you don't have a syringe, watch this video:Lavatube eCig Tube Tank Filling How to fill basics of Lavatube tubetank filling - YouTube

Be sure to prime your carto. Drip into the carto along the inside wall, avoiding the center hole. Drip s-l-o-w-l-y and let the juice absorb into the fibers. Fill until the juice doesn't absorb anymore or until it drips out of the thread end.

If your cartos are not punched, get a small nail and a hammer. GENTLY punch a hole in the carto.

VG juice may be too thick for the tank/carto. Someone else can chime in on that because I don't use VG juice.

A Carto in a tank should last quite a while. 5-7 days? Varies.

My charger changes from red to green when the batteries are ready. I don't know how long it will take for your batteries to charge. Mine take a few hours.

Batteries may take a bit longer, up to 3 or 3-1/2 hours, depending on how charged they were when you got them. I leave them on the charger about 1/2 hour after the light turns green, but this is not absolutely necessary.

You will probably want to get a second pair of batteries, though one pair is fine to start.

Just to be clear, this is what a saddle valve looks like: Saddle Valve, Self Piercing, 1/4 In, Brass - Saddle Valves - Valves - 4GU27 : Grainger Industrial Supply It is a plumbing valve with a sharp needle, used to feed water through thin lines for humidifiers, ice makers in freezers, etc. The " 1/4" " is the size of the tiny feed line that attaches to it. European plumbing supply stores should have it, probably called a 6 or 7mm self-piercing saddle valve.

If your eliquid is very thick, just add a small amount of high proof plain (unflavored) vodka, around 2 ml of it to 30ml of eliquid should be plenty. Shake it then add it, you should be okay.

Juices with 30% VG or less def work better in tanks bc their thinner so the juice feeds into the carto better, but you can use VG juices. For thicker VG juices you will need to punch a bigger hole so the tank can feed the juice to the carto. To check, punch a hole fill the carto, then fill the tank and take a few short hard dry pulls. If air bubbles come out of the holes, then juice is being fed to the carto. If not, then you will prob need to make the hole alittle bigger. Just go slow bc if you make the hole too big, then you will flood he carto and will need a new one.

OK, I might be a klutz when it comes to filling, or refilling tanks, but I was having leaking. My problem, not the tanks as I tried 3 different ones. What solved my problem with the M1A1 tank was to pull a syringe of air out of the tube before filling or refilling, and don't screw the filling port screw all the way in, leave it a thread out on the screw. It helps to equalize the air pressure.

Rather than being a klutz, I prefer to think my problems are due to being at 5,000 ft inspite of what the fellas told me......LOL

I always fill the tank from the top, never used the screw for that. Remove drip tip. Slide carto down until the carto top is above the tank top cap. Hold the tank at a slight angle, drip/pour the eliquid in. Slide carto back up. Replace drip tip. Blow through drip tip to remove excess liquid, wipe the battery contact.

Good note on the screw. You just tighten it to where the screw contacts the carto, it provides extra friction to lock the tank in place. If you tighten the screw all the way, that pushes the carto off-center, breaks the o-ring seal, a leak is almost certain. One person used a spare tiny o-ring or washer, under the screw head, it takes up the extra space.

If you have a dremel tube cutting disk, I actually always slot my cartos :)

Take the condom off of the connector end of the carto. Put the mouth end of the carto, condom still on, into a pair of vice grips (locking pliers). The vice grips don't have to be super tight -- you should be able to push the carto-with-condom into the teeth.

Pliers and carto are flat on a table, piece of paper towel below them. Put on safety glasses. Turn dremel to high speed, cut a horizontal slot about 8mm up from the bottom edge of the carto. You don't need to apply much pressure.

It is fine to cut slightly into the filler, just don't go too deep. I typically move the dremel tool slightly side-to-side after the cut has started.

It takes less than a minute. If there is a little metal flap left, I just use a nail or tack to take it off.

At the end, I have a slot about 1/8" x 1/4" to 1/3" (2 - 3 mm high by 7 - 8 mm wide).

Practice on an old carto, to check that your slot is at the right height -- it should be just a little bit above the bottom cap, after the carto is inserted all the way.

I typically go through 22 - 24 ml of eliquid before it is time to change cartos. This is the same as I got before using a tank, just that the tank means I refill much less often.

A 1mm bit might work, but it is likely a PITA, need a good clamp and probably a drill press. Most drill bits will tend to slide off of a stainkess carto, and you don't want to punch through too deeply.

Good luck!
