phil busardo (tasteyourjuice.com) has a video of it somewhere. The "black finish" is essentially a sticker. You have to take it off and then use a dremel polishing wheel to take all the sticky stuff residue off.

It's a huge PITA. Personally, I'd just order more cartomizers and use those for juices you don't want in a tank.

I just bought a ProVari Mini, some XL Cartomizers, and a Pro-V Cartomator SS XL Tank from Vaperfexion. Will the Vaperfexion Pro-V fit with the XL Cartomizers I ordered from ProVape? Also, how do you install the tank?
I guess you realize you need to order some more cartomizers. It's not worth the time nor effort required to remove the black sticker material, as someone else agreed.

Just to rule out another potential concern, is the Pro-V tank the Mini or Regular? The mini will need standard size (35mm) cartos and the Regular will need the XL size (45mm).

You sound like you will be new to cartotanks, so I do highly recommend that besides getting the correct length of cartomizer, that you start out tanking with the pre-punched or laser-drilled holes in your cartos in the beginning. Factory drilled holes provide consistancy, carto to carto, and removes a factor of human error from punching your own. Once you get the main part of tanking together, you can advance on to punch your own should you wish to. One or two holes should be adequate for the majority of e-liquids.

I'd also recommend using single coils over dual coils. There's not a huge benefit, if any, of using dual coils, and they tend to drain batteries more than single coils do. To take full advantage of the Provari's voltage range, I also recommend an ohm rating of between 2.5 - 3.0 ohm.

If you have not yet ordered your cartos yet, I might recommend that you try the IKV 510 MEGA Platinum STD Punch! (45mm) or IKV 510 Platinum Punch! Cartomizer STD (35mm). https://www.ikenvape.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1860

I also recommend highly getting the Slap-yo-Momma tank accessory tool from Big Daddy Vapor. Slap Yo' Mama Adapter : Big Daddy Vapor

PBusardo does a great demo review of it here: A PBusardo Review - Slap Yo Mama Multi-Purpose Adapter - Big Daddy Vapor - YouTube

The following video is one of the better demos on how to fill a carto and tank, and refill a tank:

This is one situation where Isopropyl would work fine, as its on the exterior and the stuff just melts away glue. Could also use goo-gone but IMO the evaporation properties of Iso make it ideal.

Thanks for the help guys! I'm deployed right now so I was in a hurry to order since it takes a week and half for things to get here. The tank I ordered was an XL of these: Pro-V Cartomator SS - Vaperfexion and I got some 45mm 510 Carto's from ProVape. I'll look into getting some new Carto's and a punch to fit the tank. I'll just use the Carto's I ordered for now until I can get some punched ones; most likely from the the links provided to me.

I'm completely new to Vaping. I love nicotine but lead a lifestyle (Crossfit, boxing, hiking, etc.) so I don't want my habits to effect my performance. One of my buddies turned me on to his ProVari and I knew I had to get one :)
