I'm new to vapes and have been reading a lot of info and have decided to build a PV. What do you think?

eGo-C Twist Battery
eGo USB Charger
eGo Steel Sleeve
IBTanked 19mm tank w/ stainless steel caps
Stainless Steel Drip Tip
Boge 2.0 Ohm Single Coil Cartomizer
Carto Punch

Am I missing anything besides liquid for a complete setup?

P.S. The website describes the cartomizer simply as a Boge 2.0 Ohm Single Coil Cartomizer, is this the same thing as what other websites are describing their Boge Low Resistance cartos? How long do cartos typically last for a PAD smoker? A rough guestimate would be fine. A few days? or a week?

Any estimations on how heavy the throat hit will be with this setup? Little to none, mild, moderate, heavy?

Will I need to frequently replace anything on this setup besides the cartomizers and liquid?

Thanks!

Looks good to me! Someone will be along shortly with the carto specifics on the LR and SR, oHm differences and such.

Throat hit depends on how high my nic level is and I hate throat hit, so someone experienced will explain this in more detail.

The life of the carto depends on many things, like the type of juice [dark kills em faster] and I think some are just duds, but you'll have someone come along soon to give you an in depth response =]

Sorry, not much help, I just wanted to say there will be others around and you are not alone!

I would get another battery and some extra cartomizers. You might want to try out some Kanger t3's clearomizers. I love them! As long as you clean them regular they last a long time.

Your throat hit is usually determined by the nic content of the liquid...the higher the mg the bigger the throat hit. You don't want to start out too high though. I started with 18 mg and thats fine for me. Get yourself some lower dosage for nighttime cause you will probably vape a lot at the beginning.

Yep, yep... multiple batteries or PVs is true! What happens when one needs to be charged? Have to have a backup!

Yes, definitely get TWO batteries.
Nothing worse than wanting a vape and having to wait for your battery to charge.

As far as nicquid goes, I would get 24mg to start.
I was a PAD smoker and really needed the throat hit.

I picked up some of my go-to flavor last week, but all they had was a 12mg, and it is like air.
Huge difference.

Welcome to the neighborhood, lots of good people here.

I figured I would need at least 18mg, was undecided between 18mg and 24mg.. probably going to get some of both. As far as TH, I was hoping for moderate TH.. I smoke Marlboro reds or mediums, which ever is cheaper to buy at the time lol so I'm relatively flexible with the nicotine and throat hit. I do not intend on quitting smoking unless I really enjoy the vape which is why I'm only buying 1 battery and basically 1 setup. If I try it and decide to try and quit smoking, I'll be buying more batteries and extra/different clearo/tank/carto setups to try.

Aside from the nicotine levels, I thought the ohm/LR/HR cartos and what not had some effect on the TH since it'll be different temps and what not. I read a lot about it but I'm still not entirely sure on how all that stuff will affect my vape

Spare batteries are a must have, even just regular ego's. My only concern for you is that the tank diameter and weight will make this a topheavy rig that might not stand up or go in your pocket. I'd suggest either a bigger battery mod or a slimmer tank.
Here's a 19mm vivi nova on an ego battery as an example:

Good luck!

I was just about to ask if anybody knows the diameter of the eGo-c Twist. I realize it will be top heavy and wont stand up vertically, but why would it have issues sitting in my pocket or being set down horizontally on a flat surface? I realize the battery/IBTank 19mm will look a bit awkward, which is why I included the eGo steel sleeve in hopes that it will taper and sit relatively flush with the sleeve/tank. Your feedback is appreciated and a reply would be helpful too!

Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything about your hardware, but if it were me, and it was me about a month ago, I would just get a couple of clearos.

Nearly the same size as the eGo and really look good and work surprisingly well for a newbie.

If you get 2, you have a different juice in them and rotate them.

I have an IBTanked tank and like it, but it is glass, so laying this down will lead to it rolling off of surfaces and you don't want too many falls. As this type of tank slides on the carto there is also a chance of it sliding upwards when putting in or pulling out of your pocket, especially if it is of greater diameter than the battery.

This is something that has to be pretty handy if it's going to be with you to replace cigarettes, so portability and durability are important. I would actually suggest getting an ego/vision ego/charger combination as a starting point if you're unsure as to whether you'll continue. Simple and cheap yet very good performance. Just my opinion though, whatever helps you stay off cigarettes is a good setup!

Vivi novas.are great to start with as I did. Then I went to carto tanks and pulled the tank off twice dumping juice all over me untill I found a simple solution, if your going to use carto tanks I suggest a drip tip such as a pawn or ming style as the base is larger around then the carto so it stops accidents to a point. I also highly recomend getting the collars that go on the ego threads because you can also push your tank down over the connection causing some spillage. I use a tesla as my regular all day device and have 2 18650s for it but I also use my ego twist 1000mah for work amd it has no problems lasting me 8 hours of moderate useage.

I have the ego twist 1000mah. I have the same IBTanked tank on the way. I keep my twist in a pencil holder so it doesn't roll around. The have stands for them too, under accessories from some vendors. For going out however, I will still be using my Kanger t2's to prevent breakage of the glass tank. Kanger is also coming out with the Kanger Pro which is pretty much a glass version of the t3, so you may want to wait a couple of week to see if that might better suit you.

Been thinking about the setup.. and I'm not too worried about breaking the glass or letting the vape roll off the table but now I'm more concerned with the tank sliding up or down while I'm walking with it in my pocket.. I can carry it in my bag usually but when I'm out for leisure it'll be sitting in my pocket. Now I'm not sure what to do!

Also, what PG/VG combinations would you all recommend for a first time vaper? I was considering getting the same flavor in 80/20, 50/50, and 20/80 to see exactly how PG/VG ratio's affect liquid but it'll be kind of a waste if I don't like the flavor to begin with lol
