My Carto ?'s and where I am going wrong

So, I got my Alien Vision juices in the the mail on Friday! I got me so Boba's Bounty, Hype and Gorilla juice, which I was very excited to try.

So 1st I dripped a little of the Hype and then Gorilla juice which was alright (for some reason I haven't gotten super dripping experience that every raves about yet, I clean the attys by blowing them out and soaking in vodka for an hour or so and let sit overnight but I can still taste some old the old juice when I vape, and I prime them 1st buy putting in 5 to 7 drops) anyhoo here's where I'm at.

as well as some cartomizers.

I have some Boge 510D LR cartos and some Boge 510 3 Ohm cartos as well.
So I condom filled a 3 oHm carto and waited about 10 min then put it on the 900 mAh batt from my Volcano kit and it vaped pretty decent for about 5 min then I got the terrible, terrible taste in my mouth so I stopped.

The carto still looked full as I was not really vaping very heavily and when I've ran my LR carto's on the eGO 650 mAH batt they seemed to do OK.

So I topped off the carto and tried it on the 650 mAH batt and the vape was weak and still tasetd kinda gross.

Where did I go wrong here and what is the proper setup I should try next to start enjoy my new juices?

Their juice is 100% VG, correct?

Maybe add a couple drops of distilled water to the juice your adding to the carto to thin it a tad.

So I condom filled a 3 oHm carto

A 3ohm cartomiser doesn't work that well on an ego. You don't really want to go higher than 2.5ohms.

I've used a 3ohm cartomiser on an ego once and it was pitiful wet vapour that sucked. The same thing happened when I tried a dual coil cartomiser on my ego so I don't get the hype with them at all. The same dual cartomisers suck on my lavatube as well. It'd be just my luck if all three were defective but I didn't order any more after that.

You need to use more than one PV inorder to vape Alien's juices. Use one briefly, set it aside to cool and wick, and use the other one in the meantime...rotate again. That's the only way you can continously vape them....or...as swedishfish said...dilute it with distilled water.

Thick juices generally do not work well in cartos. You can force them into the carto but the problem is the juice needs to flow fast enough through the stuffing to rewet the coil area as fast as you vape. Thick sluggish juices cannot flow through the stuffing fast enough.

I use juices around 80PG/20VG in cartos.

Atomizers - with atomizers juice just has to flow down through a wick to wet the coil as fast as you vape it. If it is too thick then you can thin it with a few drops of distilled water, you can try a different atomizer like a 306 (same threading as 510 but a more open design, needs its own drip tip)

ya i would have to assume its the 100vg. my boge 2.0ohm cartos are last a very long time. i still have the first cartos i opened over a month ago. i have been vaping it everyday. the other ones i opened i filled them with juice that makes me sick so i tossed them out. i wasted 4 good cartos by putting juice that doesnt sit right with me in them. oh well, live and learn. still vaping my ry4 80/20vg in the first carto i opened with no issues what so ever. tones of vaper and still fantastic th.

Hmmmm.....well. thanks for the responses.

Any other thoughts or ideas then on how I should vape these juices without distilling them? Is that what other people do what vape these types of juices?

A standard cartomizer holds about 1 ml of juice. Even if it takes awhile to absorb, your cartomizer has to be completely full or it will burn. With thicker juice, when you look at it, it might 'look' full but it may not actually be completely absorbed. If you have a syringe, measure it out to make sure you get a full ml of juice in the carto.

You can either fill with a syringe or drip into the top. Drip a few drops, shake like a thermometer to get the juce to the bottom of the carto. Drip a few more drops, shake again. Keep doing this until it's all in the carto.

When I said water, just a drop or two to make it a tiny bit thinner. Not enough to ruin the taste. I accidently ordered 80 vg juice and I was able to use it but it took time to fill the carto because it's so thick.

Thanks. Yeah, I've looked at the Taryn spin method. I don't think that's gonna be for me but I appreciate the help.

Are these juices gonna need a carto with a tank then?

I guess I'm just trying to figure out other ways to vape them on my end or how other people vape them.

I spose I could try the water to thin it up. Yeah, no cyringe on my end.

Head on over to Ikenvape, get yourself an i06 Atty 1.5ohm, 4 drops of the Ave juice will net you 15 vapes and the flavor beats any Carto, also if you want a super Carto that will run those juices head on over to Gotvapes and get a Vision Mini Carto, these also work fabulous with those juices and you wont find a carto with better flavor then these, I dont understand how people enjoy that filler taste in cartos especially when it gets the slightest bit burnt it's just gross.

If you burned the carto's its going to be near impossible to remove that burnt taste. I would suggest take a new cart, and just flood the ever living hell out of it, with the .... plug in. Dont worry about the center hole or anything just fill it completely, wait 5 mins and see if all the juice is absorbed, if so add more and repeat untill there is a standing puddle on the top. then take the other condom without the plug and place it over the mouth end then flip, and let it drain for awhile. Remove both condoms, reclaim your drained juice with a syringe if possible. blow out the center hole(blow from the battery connection side), wipe with paper towel and vape away. After quite a few puffs just keep adding a few drops,avoid the center hole so you dont need to re-blow. It's important to make sure a new carto is good and soaked especially dual coil.

I use 85% and 60%VG juice, mostly in the Smoktech1.7ohm cartos...for the 85% juice, I must syringe fill or it just won't fill completely...the 60% will drip fill just fine...the Boges hold 1ml of juice and the Smoktechs, twice that...it is SOOOO important to get a new carto completely filled the first fill to avoid burning/singeing the carto filler.......

Couple of ?'s on these items -

Why the i06 Atty @ 1.5ohm? What is special about that atty? I am just curious, so that I am understanding the why behind the recommendation so I will learn this stuff better. What would be the best battery to turn that atomizer at? 650 mah? 1000 mAh?

Also, on those Vision mini cartos, they look pretty good, so I may check those out as well. What oHm would you recommend for those cartos and with what mAh of batt?

I don't mind dripping at home but I also want to find solutions for my on the PV when I fill it once for the day and maybe half to top off once while I'm at work.

Nice. I thought about doing this actually, and I still may. I do have some bottles coming with the needle tip so I may just wait until they show up. I would think those should work fine for filling the cartos.

Smoktechs hold 2x the juice ehh? Nice. Why 1.7 oHms for you if I may ask? Just trying to learn. Also, why mAh batts do you like to use with those?

Also, how may drops = 1ml so that I can figure this out if I do decide to drop fill or condom fill another carto?

I've got all this great juice sitting here today and haven't really vaped much of it yet due to me burning that carto so quick earlier, that's the 1st time I've done that, but I certainly expected to hit pitfalls along my vaping journey.
