Take your time. Be patient. Keep playing. Eventually you will achieve the goal. To me the leads are short & I like a little more wick sticking out of the top. If the wick is tight in the wick hole, it may be getting pinched off preventing flow... or it just may need to break in. On a fresh built wick/coil sometimes it can take a day before it will wick right. My first foray into this over a year ago was not very successful. I sold the Hybrid :( I got back into it a few months later, and eventually figured it out. Now I vape a genisis atomizer 90% of the time.

well maybe i need to go meet up with someone that knows how to build a coil because im still haveing problems. massive TH and almost no vaper still. i keep checking the coil to see if it has any hot spots and they seem to be all over the place still. i got the coil very loose on the wick but still has some spots touching and others not touching but still just not working out right. my only problem is im going to have to wait till at least october to meet with someone since we have no meets around here.

You mentioned the air hole before and I would look closer at that. It isn't pictured, but I do see your coil and posts are set fairly low, your air inlet should be low on the coil and directly aimed. Also the inlet should be smaller than the outlet to increase pressure in the chamber. If it isn't right as air passes through the chamber it misses collecting the good vapor and gives a nasty TH. A pic with the air inlet would be helpful too. :)

ok. I have read this damn thread so many times but nothing seems to be sticking for me. I am not sure what all I need to do this the best way. I ordered eGo CE2 Giantomizer F1 with Pen Cap, and a http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...iantomizer-with-pen-cap-for-f1egow-p-166.html . Wasn't sure which was the easiest/best. I do not have an ego of any kind so I also ordered a 510bat to ego atty adapter.

I have a large assortment of needles I could use for posts, but hoping there is something better. Hopefully a link or two?

Thanks guys!

I can only add that please be patient with Genisis - it's a vaping tool that requires lots of patience, and a willingness to TINKER with it to get it just right. Took me a week to get mine working right for me. Don't give up on it - it blows away (literally) anything else out there. Having a Dremel tool is a huge plus when doing 'The Line' Versions! Most any of these 'Giantomizers' 'Humongizers' etc. ought to work. Some just require more cutting than others. I got 4 of the eGo SHELLS from GotVapes and it was just that - a shell. But I made it work.
And Lazrah, I used to live in AK - up in Fairbanks. It's cold as hell up there, LOL. Stay warm! That eGo Giantomizer you got ought to work just fine, though..

Twisted Jewels

18 gauge half hard silver wire is what is used on the original and is the best, count on using 6" per atty so one foot makes two.

The health007 makes a small line with 1.2ml using the ego adapter.

For the Gotvapes that don't bring a catridge I use the Vision cartridge and it has a 510 connection and much more capacity.

ALzbeta, thanks for the info. I am a guy that is always tinkering, so should be able to figure it out. Alaska can get colder than hell but it is beautiful here!

Thanks for the links BJ43. That silver wire is what I was wanting. Hope it doesn't matter what half hard, I got the .930 18g. I appreciate the info.

Everything on order, now to just stalk the mailman.

I admit, I don't build mine the same as BJ43 or some others here, but I have had a few in operation for a while now with no problems. I posted a how to with links to everything I am using... Most of of the small items like the syringe case, standoffs, and silver wire I actually get local at a local feed/hardware store and jewelry making shop my wife likes.

yeah my air hole is maybe touching the very tip of the wick but the coil isnt near that so ill just have to put some new silver wire inside of mine and try it again.

for anybody thats wanting to not cut or dont have a dremal to cut the bottom off the f1 ce2 ego carto. pull off the cap with the male threads where the mouth piece goes (use the top cap to do this). pull out the rubber cap on top but try not to rip it. i use a dental pick and put it where the wick for the ce2 is so it wont rip. just pull out the ceramic cup with wick and coil for the ce2 and just push the center pin out of the bottom. get a socket that will fit inside of the plastic tank and just beat the hell out of it till the bottom end comes off. you dont have to do any cutting at all with this and makes it super easy. i cut my first tank i did and it looks like crap.

Yah, but it's like first starting off vaping - initial cost is a bit high, but once you get into the vaping GROOVE, and learn, you find deals and good priced stuff. For example, I now make my own e-juice - sure, it's very low or no nico, but it has a wonderful tobacco flavour and it makes fantastic vapour production (with help from Genisis, LOL). I also found a vendor online does only resistance wire, and I get NiChrome from him - so now it costs me one penny (US coin) to change out my coil on Genisis.
How cheap is that?
I found a buy-one-get-one-free Gallon of VG (USP Food Grade) as well. Cost for 2 gallons of VG was $45.
Found buy 2 get 3 free SS #400 Mesh online.
I'm set for at least 2 or 3 years of heavy vaping.
Believe me, Genisis is the way to go - both for low price ongoing and for a true vaping experience!
Make the investment - you will not regret it.
O yea, and BJ43, I didn't think to peep those linkz you use for your Line - I got the goofey shells from GotVapes. I made it work though. Those things vape like a mother. I have 3 of them going now and am working on the 4th... it's kind of hard to get motivated to make another one when I have 3 excellent ones now though!
