My Chuck is injured!

I am at work and just a few minutes ago, I knocked my poor Chuckie off my desk on accident. I set it back on my desk and glanced over and it was smoking!8-o. The switch had been stuck depressed, so I quickly took my batteries out, and the cart had melted (and it didn't smell very pleasant). Now the switch is broken . It didn't break off, but is just setting loosely, it won't press down, if you know what I mean. I don't want to take matters into my own hands. Has this happened to anyone before and will Jeff fix it? Damn, I just got it!

Yeah, the switch does seem to be the weak link in the chain here. Everything else is solid but that switch sticking out like that is vulnerable to breakage in even a minor fall. Just got to BE CAREFUL.8-o

Thanks! I just sent Jeff a PM. Man, I genuinely missed my Chuck this afternoon. My 510 is just not doin' it for me. More waiting!!!!!!! I guess I've learned my lesson now. Treat the Chuck with the utmost care!

I haven't heard from Jeff yet, but I did get the adapters he sent today. And yes, the envelope was all torn up and placed inside of a USPS envelope, but, luckily they were all in there. Ironically, I just got a ****load of stuff to try on my Chuck today. Got some different voltage HV attys, the adapter so I could finally try an 801 atty, and a bunch of new juice to try! *sigh* I have his address from his adapter envelope, you think I should just send it back to him?

I'm gonna get my husband a little Chuck. I'm sure I will be stealing it from him, though!

Are we now going to see a "Safe Auto" Chuck? Not in all states, but Safe Auto does a Justin Case comercial in the midwest...

Hopefully I won't be so clumsy and knock it off a table again. Now I gotta figure out how to make a cool carrying device for my Chuck............

Redgirl, I'm so sorry that your brand new Chuck got hurt already! You only had yours a few days before mine! Glad you got her back already though ... that was fast!

Thanks everyone! The Chuck family is so awesome! I don't know how Jeff did it, but he worked his magic and it's as good as new. I bought one of those diabetes cases today to transport my Chuck and now I don't stand it up when I set it down, I put it on it's side in a stable place and make sure the atty is off if I leave it somewhere. AND I just ordered my husband a little Chuck, so now I gotta set him up with some accessories. Fun fun!
