So I didn't really start smoking, in the sense I smoked regularly till about 2 years ago. But I'll start with how I started smoking in the first place

Many summers ago, I believe it was the summer after my sophomore year in highschool, I had a buddy who lived a couple blocks down from me, and we'd walk at about 3am and smoke. Fast forward a year, and I got into hookahs, and started smoking those, and Swishers, and then later on I moved to the cigars in a pack( grape Santafes to be exact). I slowly moved onto full on cigars after I sold my last hookah (it was about 2 feet tall, had a furry hose, and by god I regret selling it every day of my life). Fast forward a year, and I started partying, and cigarettes started becoming part of my life. By the beginning of my senior year, I was at about a pack a week, and I stayed there for probably 8 months. More drinking, more cigarettes, and by this point I was really into the whole cigarette lifestyle, I tried different brands, and really truly enjoyed it. By December last year, I was at about 3 packs a week. Then in January I was forced to move out, find a full time job, and I realized I was going to school for something I didn't want to do, and for all the wrong reasons. I was smoking a pack a day. I did this for about three months, and I realized that it was destroying my healt. One rainy night I realized I couldn't smell the rain, and then I knew it was time to change. I had gotten vaporizers before, the cheapo garbage ones, and I wasn't impressed. My roommate had an extra ego twist battery (for a dry vaporizer) and I borrowed it and got a protank mini. That changed everything. I up and quit smoking cigarettes within a week!

And now I'm about 3 months in, I've gotten a joytech ego battery( one with pass through, because my biggest gripe was the charger) and one night I decided I'd temper my mini protank, and I ended up melthing part of it, and went bought a protank 3. I like the vapor production and flavor, but like everyone else, I desire more haha.

Next up for me is a 30 watt eleaf and a pack of .8 ohm coils for the protank. Any questions? Feel free to ask! I'm going to try to frequent this forum at least once a week, as I have a few reddits I frequent(job related) that take up most of my time

Welcome to the forum Xbooow59. Congratulations on quitting smoking! I've tried the protanks and they are good. Everything changed for me when I purchase an Aspire Nautilus. Man the flavor. I always found the draw on the protank to be to tight for me. The air flow adjustment on the Nautilus won me over quick. Purchased a MVP and couple of Nauti's and haven't looked back. Now its just snowballed into RBA's, RTA's, more mods, and now DIY.....where does it end...

ECF is a great community with a lot of knowledgeable people willing to help with anything you need. Unless of course you need help discouraging you from buying that new mod you don't really need or more juice you don't really need...then they suck

Hahaha there's a little guy in my back pocket, I call him my wallet, he gets cranky when I have to take him out, so I'm great at not buying new stuff, I end up buying little stuff throughout the month that end up adding up to that big thing I wanted ha

Welcome Xbooow59 and congrats from me as well on the whole quitting cigs thing. Enjoy reading or posting when you have the time. There are all kinds of great folks here. It looks like you are headed in a positive direction with your vape. My only advice would be that if you decide to venture into the more advanced units.....read up on battery safety and the basics on ohms law here on ECF. Other then that, have fun and enjoy!!!

Nooooooo, gotta have my shiny stuff! At least until SCCC! :(

Sweet 9lb baby Jesus.

Let's see....ok we have a bunch of addictive personalities using our products as an alternative to smoking. How do we monetize this?

Oh, oh, oh Mr. Carter!!!!! Make a new and improved blah blah blah every freaking week.

That's brilliant Epstein!

Yea! New stuff... Ok... Just kidding here.. I actually DIY my own juice, and use ismoka $4.50 tanks which come with 3 coils, and spinner II batteries. I actually vape pretty much on the cheap. Even if you do buy some of the more expensive stuff to vape, that's still way cheaper than all the medical expenses just before the cancer sticks KILL you. Just adding a little humor...;)
