Hi everyone! Here, I'd like to start something like a diary of some sort about my relationship with the Cool Fire 1 and iClear 30b. You can pretty much see a handful of videos on youtube as well as reviews all over the internet about this setup. Might not go much into the Cool Fire 1 as it is a pretty straightforward device. This will just be a record of what I observed, what I did and what I encounter as I go along. Importantly, I am keeping it for home vape only.
Day 1: (approximately an hour into vaping)
Pardon me if I missed out some details or inaccuracy of information. Do let me know and I hope we could learn from each other about especially for a beginner who just started off with this setup. I purchased two AW IMR 18350 batteries along with XTAR MP2 charger. Charged at 3.7v and it's functioning perfectly.
When I first received the iClear 30b, I dismantled the tank and study carefully the rings and screws which might contribute to potential leakage/flooding and gurgling. The areas which I looked out for were: the coil screw and o ring, the bottom and top cover of the tank. All the o rings looked fine and no misalignment was observed. Screw them all back together nice and tight and fill it up with Midnight Apple at slightly above 2ml marking. Remember: when screwing the tank to the Cool Fire, hold onto the tank base and turn it - do not hold on to the tank itself or the top part when screwing to avoid loosening it.
I suck in through the drip tip a few times to let the wick saturated and soaked the liquid well. Waited for a few minutes and was vaping away. A little review of the 30b on first try: vapour was definitely awesome and the taste was just nice. I realised the throat hit was pretty damn good and the 18mg nic was hitting me much more as compared to using the G6 cart when I first started. A nice surprise I'd say.. feeling a little woozy but nothing serious.
Based on whatever information I gathered on the internet, the crucial thing about using clearomizers was the airflow. This consist of the tank air holes ensuring they attain sufficient airflow from your setup as well as the rate of vaping - keep it consistent and take slow/smooth drag out of the drip tip. No gurgling witnessed so far but a few seconds after every vape, I realised a little bubble coming up from the coil. What I can assume is that the air that escapes from the coil will definitely be replaced with the liquid inside the tank. ATM I can only think the reason to it is due to normal vaping which of course lessen the liquid around the coil area.
So yeah, everything seems fine for now. I try to make it into a habit of taking out the tank from the Cool Fire and place it inside a film container (for those who aren't familiar, it's the white or black plastic container whenever you buy a film) whenever I am not using it for a long period like overnight. It only fits the tank but not the drip tip, at least any leakage overnight can be contained.
I'm still vaping it and of course, loving it
Stay tuned for more updates!
